I took normal physics junior year then APES because in VA you just have to take Bio and Chem at some point in your HS career, everyone did Bio freshman year, and then most did chem as sophomores, either regular, intensified or AP.. but you could've taken any other science some take Earth Space or Astronomy. Junior and Senior year is completely up to you. I had some friends take some combo of AP Bio, AP Chem, AP Physics, or APES. Or Astronomy, Earth Space or Physics for the final two years.

If I get one more notification from @Kris10boo to play Candy Crush...I might go crazy :D
Agh im sorry I just started playing again, I think it sends it to everyone that has their candy crush linked to facebook. I'll try to see if I can find you next time and undo it! I'm not selecting you specifically!!! Sorry! :/

so I had practice tonight, but I have a friend whose mom is a photographer, and she was doing mini-sessions, so we hung out after school and helped out a bit and all that jazz. Well, one little girl wouldn't focus at all and so my friend grabbed one of my poms that my brother had brought to me and started shaking it. After this family had left my friend turns to me and says "Now I understand why you do this. This is so much fun." I told her that's not why I did it, but it was a perk. Anyway, I don't think that this picture adequately describes the sarcasm that went into all of this. It is pretty funny though

For my high school, everyone had to take Biology 1 or Honors Bio in 9th grade. After that, it was up to you what science classes you took but you needed 3 science credits to graduate. As for math, most people took Algebra in 9th, geometry in 10th, Algebra 2 in 11th as that was what was needed to graduate. I took algebra 1 in 8th, then took pre-calc/trig my junior year and calc my senior year. You only needed 3 math credits to graduate.

ETA: I also took geometry and algebra 2. My post made it sound like I left those out. I also didn't get high school credit for taking Algebra 1 in 8th grade.

There are probably 1,000 places I would rather live before Philadelphia.

Bless their hearts.

**If I don't have plenty of warning when Jammy is approaching, I'm not responsible for my actions.**
this is the greatest thing I've ever seen. Jammy (and frosty the snowman) are absolutely terrifying!

All Chicago public schools are doing physics in 9th grade now. It's under the idea that physics (9th) and chemistry (10th) will make the biology (11th) more in depth and understandable. I'm trying to just go with the flow - all of idp's school stuff is completely the opposite of how my education was, but so far it's going OK.

They can only take general or honors physics, not AP. They can't take the AP until 10th (even the most accelerated). We don't have Regents, so there are just the 2 choices for 9th. The high schools that Idp will apply to only have honors classes, so she's required to take honors physics in 9th. [emoji15]

In idp's case, she'll have algebra, geometry, and some trig before 9th, so I think she'll have a leg up. Most of them are in algebra in 9th . I really couldn't get a straight answer when I asked how that works. He just said it works, and they learn the math they need.
At my high school it's divided into 4 "academies" that you choose your freshman year (basically what you want to do in college)- health science, liberal arts, science engineering math and technology (STEM), and Business, law and public affairs (BLPA). Whichever "path" you chose there were different requirements to graduate. I only had to take 4 sciences but my school offered a wide variety of science options and electives.. but we HAD to take physics in 9th grade, chemistry in 10th, bio in 11th, and no science senior year. They had some cool classes like microbiology and marine ecology and almost all of the science classes we had you could take honors/AP if you had a previous teacher sign off on it. Same with math classes. We had block scheduling though so basically you could have finished all your science requirements by 2nd semester sophomore year, but some classes are only open to the kids in the certain academy. It was sooooooooooo confusing.

-I've beaten over 500 levels in Candy Crush and idk how I feel about this

-@Just-a-Mom I am incredibly envious of the program your daughter is in. I would have loved to have some sort of access to that when I was in high school, especially before the junior year academic apathy set in.

-I'm more of a writing/history person, and my brother is the math/science kid. To graduate from my college, I had to take two science credits. The second one was a basic basic basic physics course called "Natural Science 101" (we called it "natty sci") and I took it my senior year. I ended up having to call my brother (who was also a senior...in high school) for help with my homework on more than one occasion. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

-If anyone needs their resume or essay edited please feel free to send it my way. I edit things for a living.

I'm on my way to my first final, psychology, and just saw my boyfriend for the last time until march. I'm a mess.

Gave Cp (13) her first cup of coffee today [emoji15] she stayed up till 12:30 and woke up early at 6am to study for finals! Hope she isn't jittery for her finals [emoji33] now I'm stressing about it, only gave her half of cup and I put creamer in it.

Did she like it? When I worked at a daycare back in the day lol - I was 18, and my co-workers were older ladies, and they always drank coffee. They would bring in all these different flavored creamers, and kept telling me how great it tasted. I tried to act cool and drink it with them but gagged every time, no matter how much of the flavored creamer I put in it. To this day I can't drink it. My husband does - but sometimes I feel left out of the coffee club lol. I go to starbucks and get the vanilla fraps and the tea's :)

She didn't really like it, she asked for more sugar and creamer! lol I'm not a coffee drinker but my hubby is, when we take her to Starbucks I always get her decaffeinated drinks, she felt grown up drinking her coffee, she asked me to put it in a to go cup [emoji4]

My grandmother had me drinking coffee the moment I got off of baby formula (Prob more creme than coffee though ). Now as an adult I can either drink coffee or not drink coffee. It's nothing I have to have. Caffeine does absolutely nothing to me
