They're not very popular in California. The only time I've ever seen them is at KFC, but I've never tried them because I figured fast food anything doesn't do the real thing justice. But I love cheese so cheese curds must be pretty good!

I have to drive up to Murray, KY to get to some fried cheese curds at Culver's. About an hour, but I wish it was closer! I am overdue for a visit.

Now that I think about it, it could be an A&W thing. The place by me is a KFC/A&W combo so I don't know if the cheese curds belong to one exclusively. I also don't frequent the place often so they could be discontinued for all I know... But that's the only place I've seen them!

We have deep fried cheese curds on campus, so good. Speaking of cheese loving...we throw bags of cheese curds (fresh, made that day) into the crowd at our basketball games...you can't get more Wisconsin than that!

It feels like an epidemic... a former classmate of mine committed suicide and I still can't wrap my head around it. He was so well liked, had a nice girlfriend, etc. Depression is a monster. I'm still grieving Robin Williams.

This guy was a Varsity water polo and had so many friends in every grade. I knew he was dealing with depression, but we all thought he was doing so much better. It just really caught everyone off guard, and we're still trying to process what happened.

i'm so sorry. the same thing happened at my school just a few months ago. he was really popular--had lots of friends, always friendly, did sports, had just gone to homecoming with a date, etc. it's incredibly sad and i wish that there was a way to make sure that we could stop it as a whole, but it's just so hard to know if someone's heading in that direction. that's why i always believe it's good to be nice to everyone. you never know what someone's going through privately. anyways, if you just want someone to relate to, shoot me a pm! from personal experience, i always feel better after talking about it

That was pretty much the same situation with this guy. You just never know, and that's terrifying. And thank you...I had a pretty long talk with my parents about it, and my coach wants us to meet earlier than usual before our game tomorrow so she can talk with us and give us an opportunity to talk to each other about it. I'm such a mess of emotions right now- I think I'm still trying to process that it happened.

NAU is Northern Arizona University. That's where the Ski Bowl mountain is located. Near the southern rim of the Grand Canyon.
