Oh I would NEVER resent being called a 'Cali Mom'... I resented that because since I was questioning what she said I automatically must be a parent of an athlete on the losing team. Thats ridiculous. I never even brought up Cali.. I was more interested in Rockstar and Prodigy as they were the original source of all the negativity being thrown at Vipers. But hey.. if there were anyway to get my daughter to a Cali gym multiple times per week and it didn't involve a plane.. that would be the FIRST gym my daughter went to. She LOVES them!!

Nope, most of us just don't say anything either way. Probably because I am a grown up and I understand I can like a gym and not like some select actions. Same goes for all other gyms; I know one or two people don't represent the other 5 or 500. (But it's boring so most of us don't say anything.)

Scoring aside...because I concur that some seemed "odd"...but I'm a parent so what do I know?
Anyway...I think NCA needs to boycott Dallas and the convention center.
- The "stay to play" hotels were, for the most part, way too far away while many hotels closer in could get you "disqualified".
- The venue must have some sort of housekeeping service in the contract. I doubt NCA (cough Varsity) asked for a cheaper price if they passed on basic services...but the place looked like no basic cleaning services were provided. It was honestly worse than a frat house the morning after a party!!! Totally disgusting! Yet the door keepers were paid well to ensure that coffee was Starbucks and not one in a cup from a different establishment.
- and final rant...the taxi crooks...um I mean drivers. Not turning meters on! Quoting random pricing because "10 is later than 9". Insisting you tip higher. Hey Dallas Convention and Visitors Bureau...Get a handle on it! This is not the annual "fleece the cheerleaders" event...or is it? It has gotten worse year after year.

Yes the taxi drivers - we were a half a mile away and they charged us $19 to go back to the hotel. We would get in the cab and say what are the pirates going to charge us for this trip. Granted not all taxi drivers but it certainly seemed as though as the weekend wore on the trip prices sky rocketed.

Lol! Except like "raw scores", it's not quite as black and white as that. How many years and how many teams have certain states gone to Worlds? And 1000 miles from Texas but much further from California (if distance really matters) For me I would just like better clarity to those "raw scores" That is the area that raises my eyebrows from time to time.
