Boiling hair can do a few things: turn straight hair curl (and vice verse), untangle hair, undull hair, give it body and make it not look dry anymore and takes away all the build up from the products used in the hair.

The method @ErinS posted is the method I use, just with different products. It's seems harder in writing then it really is. My cp started boiling hair when she was 15 years old and compared to her cousins, she had a late start because I was a little overprotective!

You need to boil that hair to revive it or you're going to end up paying for a new one. Boiling hair freshen it up, something that washing just won't do. If you don't trust yourself, go to a black/African American beauty salon and let them do it.

I think that's why most of the parents on the board refer to our kids as little or mini version of our screen name and use cp to refer to general cheer kids.
