A lot of times with those transitions the "middle layer" preps drop as well to keep the movement continuous so there's no 'weight baring'.Thank you. I know german rules have no "time limit" on transitions, it's like you said: the flyer has to continue movement. But there's also the part of: As soon as the weight of the flyer is fully supported by another flyer (middlelayer) it's a grey zone if movement is not continuing.
I've seen a team do a "high split" where they tossed the flyer up and immediately after the catch tossed to the front in a front flip dismount.
