What curlers did you use? Love her curls. That is how CP's team is doing their hair this year, too. Mine is still asleep on her sponge rollers, we'll have to see how her first cheer hair for the year turns out.
We use curl formers (pink and orange) the morning of. Now that we're doing pony's - I take sections of dry hair and hold them a fist length away from the root (already in the pony) and use hair gel. CP has a ton of hair but it only takes about 30 min. Once curlers are in she goes under the dryer for a little bit and voila! That's it!!

This is my hair from yesterday, my natural hair teases really well (really curly, processed hair) so I teased the roots of my pony tail, then curled the ends with a wand. I flat ironed the top layer to make it smooth, then curled the ends up!
I want to give you a huge hug for a normal sized poof.

Can someone post some nice pictures of cheer hair cut in a bob... Bob with a pouf, Bob with a headband, bob with a bow, long bob short bob. Trying to convince my daughter we should do it....any pics you got would be great. I tried pinterest, google images, and surprisingly there are very few pictures of Cheer Hair Straight bob????

Show her pics of the Cali Smoed "Twins". The both make the bob work.

Sorry if this is big.. No clue how to resize it! But this is how I wore my hair! Just a straight french braid back into a high pony which was super easy to do. I usually teased my pony tail so you could see it over the bow. :)

ETA: I found more pics to share. lol. BUt this I just curled with a half inch iron all around and did a poof kinda to the side with a bow on the side! This was for a football game but I believe it would be fine for comps as well.

too big....
I think it's super cute! Good job! It doesn't hinder her ability to perform. I don't really get why people are so concerned about big hair and sparkly makeup. So what it doesn't look "athletic." Well go out there and hit a perfect routine and prove your athletic ability. From Stingrays to Cheer Athletics, it's obvious that the way you wear your hair has nothing to do with how well you can hit your routine. You can still be an amazing athlete and look cute at the same time. We only go out there for 2.5 minutes, not a 90 minute soccer game or a 9 inning baseball game. You don't have to be a "diva" or "fierce" or "sassy," or for that matter, show any emotion at all in almost any other sport. Our sport requires a performance to score well. What's wrong with enhancing it? Some gyms do, some choose not to. It doesn't matter...and it's kinda rude to directly tell someone you don't know that her hair is "too big" when she seems to be very proud of how it turned out. This isn't a normal sport; we have our own ways of doing things. I don't get why people see it as a bad thing. And I know FB is an open place for all opinions, including yours, but that is mine.

@Zoey Kay I think your hair looks very pretty. Nice job!

I like a lot of different looks (no poof, big poof, r and straight or curls) poof or not. In my experience it's more the attitude of the girls on the team and their performance that dictate it. My daughter will age out of minis after this year. So I feel like there won't be that dvmany early am times for us to work it up into whatever.

I actually wore sparkly cheer makeup and had a curled pony for a soccer game once. I was bored and felt like being pretty, and I could still shoot and score as well as anyone with simple hair.
