The one from Orby stating he wasn't on the show until episode 13 or something like that? I guess I don't see anything dramatic or uncalled for in that tweet. It didn't bother me, personally.

especially when he was simply answering a question that he saw on here with regards to the smos supposdly having a "you need to be on the show" clause in their contracts.

Who responded to weezy? I don't recall seeing that and the picture (at least blaming the picture) is blurry.

Abby lost her Dance Masters of America membership - it's a very respected membership, organization and competition, but it's just one of many dance comp systems - and although she can no longer list she's a member of DMA on her bio, there are still countless other comps out there that her dancers can compete at. Dance does not have an organization the equivalent of USASF - not even close.

There are many dance comps that will not allow the show to FILM (Starquest is an example that a poster gave above), but if Abby brought her dancers to those same comps without the film crew and just wanted them to compete w/ everyone else, I'm sure most of them would gladly take their money.
I was just about to say the same thing. Abby lost her DMA privillages and the right to film at real and some of the best dance competitions;which is why Lifetime makes up those inventionals for them to go to. Without the cameras though, they are allowed to compete whereever they want to go.

Side note, real dance moms are actually very impressed that cheer has the USASF. I have met many who wish that dance had something similar and is impressed with how "organzied" and rigid it is... ;)

I was at practice the day that we all found out something was going on nobody knew for sure what was happening. I remember the entire team beig incredibly sad that we may lose him. We had planned a pot luck for practice that day after and we all wanted to take the food over to his host family and talk things out with him and figure out what was going on in his mind because we had no clue he was feeling unhappy. The host family wouldn't let anyone see him we tried calling, talking to him, texting, our office manager went over there and was refused at the door. So you can all see how we were shocked, frustrated etc.. Communication in my eyes is the most effective way in these type of situations.. things could've ended on a better note if we could've just communicated better known his side. On another note everyone knows when they want to be on smoed there's come a lot with it you're signing up for some fame, a web series, haters, fans and our coaches make that crystal clear in the beginning so that when

I won't comment on how Dylan was feeling at that time, since I'm not him and I haven't been in his shoes. However, knowing that his host family barred him in and wouldn't allow anyone near him, that says a lot to his emotional well being at the time. I also feel, it's a little too late---if Dylan had problems, as his father has said he has, and had tried talking to your coaches for at least a month or more...that is on them. I can understand why a group, or the whole team, would want to show up with food and try to talk it out, but you also have to place yourself in his shoes and understand how that looks. Even if it was just five of you, that's five to one...and that's intimidating. If his original intention was just to leave and go home, I can also understand how he could have mentally just been done. Also, Dylan isn't the first teammate attacked on social media for leaving---Dylan saw first hand what Tyler went through and was probably already preparing himself for that. In the end, I can't fault him for texting and being done. I honestly think he handled it the best way he could, even if others felt that the way he handled it wasn't good enough.

And, I understand communication is everything and it could have ended better, BUT the track record of this team is questionable there. Tyler left because he was homesick and wanted to go back to his old gym, which should have been a perfectly legitimate reason for leaving and he was attacked. Jenee's mother pulled the plug for whatever reason she had, a choice Jenee may or may not have had any control over, and she was attacked. I honestly can't sit here and believe, for even a second, if Dylan had finally been able to sit down with everyone and spill his guts, that he somehow would have been spared. If it was a different team with a different track record, I could see it...but not this team. At least not know. As time moves forward, I hope that history writes a new past for this team and they aren't known for attacking those who leave---I'll be happy to see that, until then, you'll be held to the faults of the past.

I agree with most of this post however....It makes no difference if he was not an unhappy paying customer. Being upset about him choosing to leave is expected but setting out to destroy him & his last senior year is not the way to I things. It is always the gym you are going to that arranges a host family for athletes particularly internationals. They were not paying the host family to house my son. That is something the host family insisted on doing when I was wanting to pay them for food & board etc. The same host family had hosted athletes before & been involved with CA for many years with their own kids. They now have nothing to do with CA after this & are still looking out for my son like one of their own.
There is no discrepancy as to how much CA helped. I already posted about that. They wrote a letter of support for the visa application and asked host family to do the same (something I had already ask of the host family) I did the work for his application, I arranged a letter of support from the NZ cheerleading body, his team here, wrote letter of support from myself & so did Dylan stating his case & why he wanted to be on the team etc as well as outlining his international & national awards & achievements in the sport to date.
They chose not to leave the situation alone after going into INS by making the episode. (I guess you missed the part about them following through with the threats?)

Communication works both ways, I get that you guys were shocked and upset that he wasn't returning text and calls for one day but imagine how Dylan's dad felt after four months of not getting return calls, emails etc from coaches. This whole thing is becoming such a hot mess.
