The word promposal makes me cringe and so does the fact that "prom-posing" is used as an acceptable verb or whatever.

I had no special 'prom-posal' and I'm perfectly okay with that. My friend and I decided if we were still both single, we'd go together since we were best friends. In between then and prom, we started to like each other, but I decided we were better off as friends. We decided to go as friends even though I was seeing someone else since he already had a matching tux. Not a good idea. I avoided him the whole night because he wanted to grind all on me and kiss me.
