All-Star Team Shirts

So I own a pretty good amount of gym shirts from all over. I decided to wear one of my new ones and it just so happens that is the Stingray Orange (from full out) and got into an argument with someone who pointed out that since I was not on the team I should not wear it. They then proceeded to tell me general shirts are okay to wear but actual team wear I could not.
What do you guys think?

Can somebody not walk out of the house with their favorite NFL/College teams Jeresy? People do it all the time, theres nothing wrong with it. It just means you like the team and show support.. NBD

I would say wear it, but maybe not to your gym. We had a girl wear a tshirt from a gym near us that we don't exactly get along with...and it was awkward.
