"Removing improper language or words from a song and replacing with sound effects or other words may still constitute ‘inappropriate."

i cant wait to see how some teams try to obey this rule......

also "B. Tumbling over, under, or through a stunt, individual, or prop, is not allowed." im guessing the thing top gun did with the signs is no longer allowed, unless im reading it wrong.

Here's the image policy with the uniform portion that goes into effect this season. I've read it before but haven't seen the graphics of approved/not approved uniform styles. Looks like mesh stomachs and back cut outs with connected fronts are cleared. Monokinis are a no go.

Also, has anyone heard the "punishment" for this? It's up to EPs to enforce, correct? So, what are companies doing? Disqualifying? Big deduction? Small one?
are those uniform guidelines for level 4 and under.

Did TGLC actually tumble or just dive/jump through the hoops?

That's a regular level 5 dismount out of a lib to a cradle...and was allowed and is still allowed (I see no changes in the rules for dismounts). Maybe you're confusing the basket rule that both feet need to be in/on flyers hands? Because a kick double dismount is not a basket...therefore, they can do it out of a lib.
Yea, I'm confused... Glad I'm not a coach who actually has to decipher these rules.

I believe this has always been a rule. So with that said, I dont think TG's opening prop thing counted as tumbling through a prop as they just rebounded through it. Just like how we've seen in a few routines tumblings jumping over a person into a tumbling pass. Still legal.
Although, someone please correct my if I'm wrong!

They did back handspring prior then folded and went thru butt first and were caught. If u can get channel ESPNU they r one of the teams they should show on Saturday if it is a repeat from last weekend. They even show it in slow-mo.

It was actually a round off, but same idea. Round off rebound into a folded position through the hoop, and were caught on the other side

So according to the pictures on uniforms you can have a V-neck with a mesh stomach, but it's inappropriate if it's a crop top with a V-neck. That makes no sense to me, or am I misinterpreting it?

Yes, only seniors can have a crop top.

Round off BHS whip BHS step out round off full
Punch front step out round off BHS full
Round off Arabian (extra) step round off BHS full
Round off onodi round off BHS BHS full
Aerial round off BHS full
... Plus zillions of other options for specialty passes. Tumbling will only all be the same if coaches allow it to all be the same.

I hope with these changes that the front thru the full is actually valued like a specialty pass. Last couple of years whip thru to fulls were considered harder than a front thru to full. Same held true on Level 4 with front thru to layouts versus whips thru to layouts - which were often jacked up no hand BHS thru to pike over flips. :banghead:

I love the idea (sarcasm) of taking a skill that was needed to max out level 4 tumbling (both running and standing) and is still needed in level 4 and now minimizing it at the next level logical competitive level. ***Personally I do not teach whips until an athlete has learned and is ready to compete a full because I refuse to jack up their layout technique teaching a whip. They need to know how to isolate those different approaches in their brain no matter what the scoresheet asks for. Front thrus and onodis are taught until they are ready***

Now if we can get judges to actually deduct for not taking the extra steps in the Arabian instead of just giving a warning, or saying they took two steps. Many are throwing just regular Arabians and not getting deducted for it.

Seriously the stomach mesh being approved makes me laugh... like, what's the point? You want to hide the belly because it is too... provocative? You are right USASF, I won't see it through the mesh. I toooooootally won't. Nobody will.

Don't forget that when they first came out with the guidelines a few years ago, mesh stomachs weren't a thing. Most gyms are on a 3 year uniform cycle - they can't now say no mesh and enforce it for this year because many gyms just got new uniforms with mesh.
