Unfortunately I have an iPhone. It will most likely be my last iPhone unless their new one is completely different, which I doubt. I will def check out best buy tomorrow though!

Is it just me or do iPhones have the worst battery life? My iPhone also sucks up data like crazy. This my first and probably last iPhone once my plan is up. I'll probably go back to droid.

They definitely do more than Droids, but closing out all your apps after each use helps extend the battery life. It will also charge faster if you put it on airplane mode when it is charging. If you do switch back to droid, make sure you get one that you can take swap out an old battery with a new one. Dh always has 2 fully charged backup batteries with him when he travels so it is never an issue. Not all droids allow you to do this now, so ask.

iPhones just suck all around. This will be my first and last iPhone too. I've been looking at the Samsung phones and I really like them from what I've seen. I'll most likely go with one of those once I decide to get a new phone. My plan was up 2 years ago so I really could go renew at anytime but I have a "working" phone so I'm holding out for the moment.

@CheerBank - I didn't even know some phones still have removable batteries... you just changed my whole new phone checklist!!

Double post. But I don't know if you have a store like Family Dollar near you, but I just got my boyfriend one that could charger your phone fully twice for $12. He used it all the way from NJ to Atlanta and his pack was just dying by the time he got to ATL 30 hours later. You might be able to find a cheap gem in a similar store.

If he's driving something that might be useful is an in car charger? I don't think I could live without it any more, I just pop my iPhone on charge every time I'm in the car and using it to play music etc and I never have to worry about it dying. Completely agree with everyone about the iphone battery life though, absolutely ridiculous!!

Haha fair enough! To be honest I'd definitely chose the bus too for a 30 hour drive, a 30 hour snooze sounds ideal right now.

Oooh, refurbishing projects are so fun! Have you looked in craft stores? Don't know if you have a Hobby Lobby but they usually have ones that you'd never find in hardware stores. Or maybe you could spray paint some that you like the shape of but don't like the color?
