The competitions these kids go to are fake; they are made for the TV show, Lifetime invites a few local studios, but all of the companies are run through the same people just with different names. You can't find results because it's not real. The editing is also jacked---for example, in one episode the big deal was Maddie's apron falling off. The show films the kids dancing twice---the first time is 'judged' the second time is when they get the cooler action shots. Her apron fell off during the second dance, not when she was judged.

Actual real competition in the industry won't let them film because of the way the show altered results. There was a huge deal with that TX high school one that Brooke 'won' but she actually took second and the mom from that studio blew up because it looked like her daughter lost. All of that has been status quo since the first episode.

If you follow any of the spoiler pages, they're quick to explain what actually happened because they have people physically at the competitions dishing the dirt.
I don't know any of the spoiler pages, can you pm me some?!
This show is like a train wreck. It's so bad but I can't look away!

Double post, sorry.
But the hooded dance was way better than the umbrellas. The hooded one kinda reminds me of Rosary High Schools jazz routine at UCA nationals in '12, which is one of my favorite dances of all time.
And just my opinion, but I thought Kalanis dance was way better than Nias.

Finally caught up!! Agree that Kalani's dance was better than Nia's, but how much fun would it be to watch if Abby didn't freak out and 'change her mind' every episode?? I wonder if they pick straws for who is going to scream at Abby each week.

Um. Lots of things in tonight's episode made little to no sense.

Abby turning around and asking the people around her if they paid to get in; entrance fees for kids etc.

Um if this were a real competition and not one manufactured for the show wouldn't she know the answer to that already? Because she would have paid entry fees for her own dancers? And her parents paid admission to watch?

But I mean, yeah, sure. Okay girl. I guess.

Also Nia and Maddie's costumes look like they came from the clearance rack at Ross/Marshalls/TJMaxx

Lol clearly these fake competitions aren't helping her anymore, maybe the judges got bored of picking the same girls.....

I actually liked the other teams group number way better then aldc. Ava's number was very unique as well, but was it just me or did they only show like 5 seconds of Ava's solo compared to maddies solo. Maybe bad editing? Idk.

I feel like the only reason why Ava is still around is to be the new Chloe---the underdog against Abby, but as pretty of a girl as Ava is, the audience doesn't have the same connection to her as they had towards Chloe and therefore, her role was kinda pointless.

Also, Mackenzie and Kalani both danced at National's.

Kalani came in 1st doing Improv and Mackenzie came in 4th in the Junior's category.

I do agree with Abby that the comp results made no sense, but only became Kalani came in 1st in the Duo/Trio category when she competed a solo. I still think Jeanette's dance was better and Ava doesn't fall out of her turns like Maddie does (likely what cost her first) but Kalani's results made no sense.

I can't believe she walked out and pulled the kids (other than for good TV). There have been many times I haven't agreed with judging (like getting a 0 for difficulty in jumps when we had 3 elite + 1) but it's so un-classy to walk out like that. I am glad Nia got to dance though

I just finished watching the last program and was totally disgusted by the poor sportsmanship displayed by Abby and Company.
How disgusting it is, when you lose to turn around and ask competitors whether they pay to compete, alluding to the fake judging and competition. I agree with Dr. Holly with her reactions and how children learn more by watching how we handle losing. Abby just demonstrated what type of leader she really is, she did not care at all about teaching the lesson of motivating the girls to work harder next time, so they would not come in 2nd. What I know is going to happen, Abby is going to pick a someone from the group to blame this lost on, most likely, Nia or Jojo. Unfortunately, Abby is only concern about herself and in some ways, this episodes showed her many insecurities and low self-esteem...js

PS: The last 2 performances by BDA and MDA? Group dances were better than ALDC Group numbers, but Jeanette and the dark hair lady did not storm out and encouraged their dancers to behave in such a poor manner...
