I think ANYWHERE in the south is tropical compared to Wisconsin.

So true. I felt the same way about California when I visited there; we drove up bottom to top and it was so different the more north we went.

North Florida---the areas attached the 'the south' are very southern, with the exception of like Jacksonville. That is kinda the cut off.

Central Florida---Orlando is tourist-hell in some areas, awesome in other...and the coasts are pretty stereotypical Florida, but the middle, not attached to water belongs to the North Florida southerners. This is where a lot of the farm lands are too.

South Florida---Kinda of a mix of everything. And could very well be their own state with Miami as the capital.

Exactly. We always referred to the panhandle as "Southern Alabama" unless we were actually on the beach, then we were in Florida.

I'm from Virginia and I barely consider that the south, but many others do. I consider the South to be anything from North Carolina and below including Kentucky. I worked at a camp in NC and it amazed me how schools could be literally 15 minutes from each other and the girls sound completely different.

*Every time I watch UCA High School Nationals I have to dig out my KY accent for the crowd leading portion lol.

lol. coming from a true floridian, ill NEVER understand why people who live in south Carolina, etc. think they live in the south, like no, you live up north.
i get the whole southern culture and what not that is probably more abundant there then here, but it bugs me when people are like "yeah i live in the south... oh really where? south carolina." this is my face

Sometimes I think of Florida as a northern state but with wayyyyyyy better weather. It's too fast paced to be southern. And they don't have accents. And they don't have southern-y things.

But maybe it's because it's filled with northerners who are sick of snow

I was born in Florida - it is definitely not a southern state there are some southern influences in certain parts of Florida though.

It's the southern most state on the map people, don't argue with me. We don't do southern tea here we do slurpees.
But yeah most people I've met or know arent originally from here, it's a rare thing to be born and raised in florida for whatever reason.

Sad. You would think the behavior would change. Makes me want a ring for BSB 100x more. I hope Eddie and Michaeleddie will hand out reprecussions for bad behavior this year. They really need to, Smoed was off the chain last season. Not good for Cali's image.

yes because having an undefeated season aside from worlds, getting grand champs at every other competition, getting NCA and UCA jackets and scoring 99.8/100 on a run is "the bottom". wow lol ok
