And first call by CBC that Trudeau will be the next PM. Nothing on minority/majority, but I'll take it at the moment!!

Still, kinda stupid that BC polls close in 20 mins., and we've already declared a winner. Not liking this early release of results.

BC doesn't have the same weight as Ontario and Quebec I believe. I guess BC will "decide" between minority or majority.

As a quebecer though, I am nervous right now...

Thinking about switching from Psychology to becoming an Ultrasound Tech through an associates program at a nearby community college. Is anyone an Ultrasound tech? I'm really interested but really nervous about switching to a whole new area of study. I'm in my 3rd year right now. Also pretty nervous about transferring.

You're in your 3rd year of college and want to switch to an associate's program? How long would it take you to finish? At this point it seems to me like it would make more sense to finish your bachelor's degree. A psych degree might not open many doors for you, but having a bachelor's degree might give you more flexibility than an ultrasound tech.

I was thinking the same thing-ish. I've been thinking a lot and I feel like grad school is just not in the picture for me. I feel like I jump to absolute decisions really fast so this is def a little silly sounding now that you're saying it back to me.
Maybe changing my minor to my university's equivalent might help knock out the geneds in the other program? That way I'll still be able to get a bachelors in psyc while getting my foot into the other program I guess. Just kind of thinking out loud. Hearing about everyone graduating college and not finding a real job really stresses me out. I just want to do the best possible thing for my future right now and I'm just really not sure what that is lol. Thanks for your input!! Honestly that helped me gather my thoughts a little bit more :)

I think no matter what degree you get you're going to find that getting a job is hard. Having experience will make it easier - not changing your degree. Internships, part time work in your field, etc. Those will really help you stand out to future employers in the job search.

I think they're going off the poll results from earlier in the month. Liberals were in the lead then.
This will probably be the first time in a while that I'll have the news on for longer than an hour...

We always have the news on for hours during elections. This has been a tight one too.

Proud of you BC for electing that woman. I wish we had someone like her here!

So I'm up at my moms house in mississippi and I brought my kitten with me (7mos) and her and my step dads cat (which is declawed, mine isn't) got into a fight and I came into the room where I put all her stuff and she was growling and hissing at me which i'm sure was because she wasn't familiar with the cat and area. Poor thing seems so stressed :(

Yup, new environment and the resident cat is going to assert dominance. Should be okay shortly.
