The academy had no choice but to pick him. They already have POC mad at them for the lack of diversity. They can't have white people mad at them too lol[emoji14]
Jokes aside, I'm so happy Leo finally got what he deserved. I think the majority of people were rooting for him. I was so happy to see him get a standing ovation from the audience. What a special moment for him. And they let him talk for a while without even cutting him off. It made my heart happy

How I feel about their South Carolina accents on House of Cards.

we have this city named "Bangor" in the state, and it's pronounced "Bang-ore." Stephen King lives there in a house that looks exactly like what one would imagine his house to look like.

11.22.63: "Oh, I'll be going up to Banger after graduation..."

I physically recoiled when I heard that line. So bad.

My friends and I had a beach day today and I just have to say I am SOO ready for summer. Can't wait to be able to go to the beach everyday! Also showers never feel better than when taken after swimming in the ocean.

A good chunk of my twitter feed was pretty excited to see Spotlight win best picture. Because that meant seeing Brian D'Arcy James on screen.
My favourite reaction was to Brie Larson winning: "Abed's gf won an oscar"

So happy for her - I've loved her forever and even though I did not see Room (the book was too emotional for me) I heard she had done an incredibly perfect job with her character.
I thrilled to see it went back to just 5 movies for Best Picture, and Leo...he should have won it years ago starting with Gilbert Grape.

I only watched the Oscars to see Chris Rock...and because one of my friends from college was there on the 5th row.....being that she's Chris Rock's sister


That Stacey Dash thing was by far the most awkward thing I've ever experienced while watching TV [emoji848][emoji53]

But I prob should have just skipped the show and waited for my friends after party pictures with like every celebrity ever

renttherunway.com as @gofriars610 said is awesome if you want a more expensive dress that you're never going to wear again. You can also choose to rent two sizes at a time in case you are unsure which to choose (especially if you are gifted - better odds at getting the right fit)
Dresses to buy that aren't going to break the budget - I get majority of mine from ASOS.com or LuLus.com. Sidenote: lulus definitely runs small so they may not be the best choice up top; I'm not gifted so I may be of no help.

I didn't know he was hosting and I have always liked him, dating back to SNL/New Jack City days. I was wondering how he was going to address the no black nominees issue, and he did not disappoint.
Watching the Oscars always makes me a little sad because pre-kids and pre-cheer I used to go to the movies all the time, and now I rarely do.

Those interviews were spot on. Dh and I never heard of Bridge of Spies either. I loved the person who said he was making the movie titles up.
