So if you are the only one in your division in wildcard you get a free advance to finals?! So basically you got a test run of judges opinions, you skip the semi finals and avoid being cut and get to go after the 1st place team on final day that actually beat people to make it to finals?!

I don't care what anyone says. In a lot of cases the luck of the draw plays into winning a lot of the major competitions.
Your division may be split with less competitive gyms, or less teams or with a panel of judges that prefer your type of routine.
Sometimes in plays in your favor sometimes it doesn't.

She and her mother passed away in a car accident a few weeks ago.

Guys...our small senior 4 Venus dropped a stunt in a division of 13 teams and STILL moved on to semi-finals. I am so incredibly proud right now. Waiting on one more awards ceremony for the wildcard round for our small junior 2 Calypso
