Don't forget that you can purchase Quick Service meal vouchers. They are $16 per person and can be used at any Quick/Counter service restaurant on WDW property. I think the deadline to purchase those via the Varsity/ Summit registration site is April 24 or 25th. But, we have visited WDW before and usually get the dining plan but we are paying for our meals out of pocket this time and got a few vouchers for the park days we have planned. I look at it as a few more things that can be pre-paid KWIM. Also, check out this site allearsnet.com it has a current list of all of the WDW parks and resort restaurants including prices so you can get an idea and play with the numbers.

And there are so really good (non chicken nugget) options for quick service. At Epcot: Katsura Grill (Japanese), Tangierene Cafe (Moroccan), Yorkshire County Fish Shop (fish and chips). At Magic Kingdom: Sleepy Hollow Refreshments (deli), Pecos Bill Mexican, and Columbia Harbor House (lobster rolls, grilled chicken or salmon). At Hollywood Studios: Pizza Planet, Fairfax Fare (roasted Chicken), Starring Rolls Cafe (Deli). At Animal Kingdom- Yak and Yeti (Chinese) and Flame Tree BBQ.

Might want to really consider what you're going to eat before you buy those vouchers. I'm a huge Disney fan/veteran and a lot of counter service meals aren't going to cost you $16.

Agreed. Huge Disney veteran here too:D The vouchers are really not worth it since most counter service meals don't cost that much and are sometimes a lot of food so it would be a waste to get the full meal for some

Not been to worlds but I've been to disney more times than I can count - they let you take food into the parks, so to save money if you can try and make sandwiches and rolls up before you go - will save you a heck of a lot. I'd also be that person to recommend drinking the tap water from the fountains as all it will cost you is a single bottle to use for the day - although if you get bored of just drinking water there is a british invention called diluting juice or squash - an incredibly concentrated substance that you wont need a lot of - that can be put in drinks to make them taste better. You'd be able to get Robinsons or an equivalent in a Wal-Mart international foods isle for a few dollars. Its expensive for a one off payment but the things last ages and really save you on food and water prices in the long run. When I last went to disney I saved $200 dollars doing this as I was spending that much in the period of a week and a half on water in the parks - which can get Mom a new Michael Kors or even another designer handbag from an outlet store for the same price.

Wow, do I miss squash. I've never found it ever in North America. I always bring some back with me after visiting the UK

We always bring snacks and drinks into WWOS. There are some grab and go sandwiches/salads in the little store inside Jostens. Another vote for food trucks (my favorite is the lime green Tex-mex truck).

For a second I was really concerned that no stores around you sell squash, and then I realised you weren't talking about the vegetable. There's a small chance Save on Foods/Overwaitea sells the non-vegetable squash, 'cause I've noticed they've added a ton to their international foods section.

No Overwaitea here, but I'll start looking closer in my supermarket. I'm sure there must be a British Ex-Pat store somewhere around here too

I never leave home without squash when i go to the states on holiday. How the heck I'm going to manage when I'm on an exchange year there will be beyond me XD might have to get it shipped internationally courtesy of my parents

When I was living overseas, my parents always sent care packages full of food and little goodies. But once my Mom sent a block of cheese. She thought a few days in cod air cargo holds and it would be fine. But it took 6 weeks to arrive and was half blue and fuzzy when I got it!!

Honestly, I've just never looked for it here. I will start checking different places now.

I've never understood the Wetzel's craze on here UNTIL I went to Disneyland last summer.

YALL.... I've seen the light. Cinnamon pretzel bites. I get it now. Auntie Anne's just aren't even on the same level.
