Sorry for being a huge prude:
I know they're an open team but I dislike this flashing pose. I'm just a Negative Nancy and already foresee children doing it and the choreography that's going to incorporate ripping their tops open

I don't see this pose as being provocative, although I can understand how it could be perceived as that. To me it seems more superhero-esque, like superman unbuttoning his shirt to reveal his logo.

I tried really hard to see it like that but I just can't get past that that's their bra. Which I know makes no sense because I'm totally fine with sports bras in practice and crops in general. I guess it's more the notion of a program getting these for their non-open teams and the action of kids ripping their tops open to see their bras. Like if skirts ride up and spanx are visible it's whatever, but if there's a slit cut so high or there's Velcro to rip it open for the dance that's a no from me. But I respect and understand your opinion as well! :D I actually like the design besides that.

My husbands comment on Lady Jags was "uh, clearly I'm a pervert, but why are there lips THERE on that skirt". So...that's fun.. I'd love it without the lips and the socks.

I always feel that Top Gun's uniforms are *this close* to being amazing but there's always and element or 2 that ruins it for me.

Actually in love with these

Not a fan at all, too much going on, especially the socks.

TG's socks get higher and higher each year. At some point they'll just have to settle with leggings.

Here's a video of the OO5 uniform top "reveal"

NOOOOPPPPPPPEEEEEEEEEEE. Highly innapropriate. I do not care a single bit that this is an open team. This is still a youth sport and they will be doing this at Disney. Like come tf on. I hope someone stands up and gives them a deduction for that uniform.

Sorry didn't mean to quote you

Is there a reason people don't like the socks other than the mesh on the side? It doesn't surprise me that they went with it being that this is the third uniform in 4 years that Top Gun has done with thigh high socks.

Would people still be a fan if the piece in question was a skirt? I feel like if they do get a deduction, people will protest the heck out of it because they're an open team. (Where the bottom age is 14.)
It's a shame, because apart from the zipper/velcro, I really like the uniform.

I have a 13 year old, no way in you know where would I be ok with this. I think it is highly inappropriate, and hope they do deduct for it. No way is this ok for any team, period.

I can only speak for myself, but I'll have a problem with any team at any age level innapropriately "flashing" any body part using any piece of clothing.

If USASF actually cared about cheer first and not money, they'd give a warning day 1 and a deduction day 2 if the issue isnt addressed by the team. I have little faith in USASF though and I highly doubt theyll get a deduction but id love to be proven wrong.

FWIW, I like the uni, just not with the... unique functionality.

I really side-eyed the tweet that Top Gun retweeted with a guy unzipping the girl's bra top....

Is this oo5 top similar to Smoed flyers doing a handstand and spelling out smoed with the inside of their skirts? I havent heard anyone say thats inappropriate and basically they are mooning you minus the bloomers. F5 had flyers pull down a piece of their top to say F5 in rhinestones a few years and I thought it was a unique idea.
