I didn't see the routine, so I don't have a particular opinion about that deduction, but small mistakes make the difference in results all of the time. A slightly wrong grip on a stunt, a slightly mis-timed opening from a double, a foot turned slightly too far to the side in a landing.... Small, irregular, unplanned mistakes you'd never expect affect nearly every result at every event. Fair or not, there is a huge amount of randomness to the sport. If you held Worlds again next week, I would expect at least the top 3 to change in at least 3/4 of the divisions. You would probably change at least 3 of the finalists in most senior divisions.

That's one of the things that can be so annoying about cheer. You practice all year for a 2:30 routine and if you make one tiny mistake, it can cost you the entire thing. Other sports have more room for error - and then with tournament play, you can lose and still come back and win. Cheerleading is soo unforgiving.. (Guess it's similar with a lot of judged sports)

I knew a girl that went to Louisville All Girl and was on Gymtyme and she told me once (GymTyme coaching is amazing and consistently turns out world champion teams because of it.
I was like... Girl. GT probably has bomb coaching, but their non Louisville teams haven't globed in a minute.... GT turns out world champion teams because of Louisville.
It's honestly quite depressing to see the state Platinum has been in the last few seasons, just down hill since 2014?

They were top contenders in the medium coed division... I'm guessing with the creation of Jade, they've placed all their UoL cheerleaders on their level 6 teams leaving Platinum to be the team with actual GymTyme-only cheerleaders.

This is part of the reason why I would like to see scores carry over in Worlds. I'd like to see them reward consistency at least a little bit. A team can have lots of mistakes day 1, just squeak by into finals, then hit zero and win or move up quite a few spots. Over a team that may have ever so slightly less difficulty/execution that hits zero both days.

It's alright, I'm surprised no one noticed (at least no one pointed it out in this thread after they performed)... either that or I've just watched their routine too many times and can identify the changes immediately.

I think high-to-high full around tick-tocks score high? There's a "full turn" element on top of being high-to-high, even though it was lib to lib instead of stretch to stretch.

There is one, but it's empty because no one updated it...
2017 Worlds: Score/sheet And Rankings | Fierce Board - The Voice Of Cheer

I will try my best to post everything I can find on there, so check back tomorrow if you're in the U.S.

I noticed right away and loved it!!! IMO full around tic toc way harder than a stretch stretch h2h. I am assuming they are rewarded higher on score sheets as well?

Worlds requires event producers to count at least portions of 2 different performances' scores when determining Worlds bids. To qualify for Worlds, you HAVE to use 2 days worth of scores. However, at Worlds, that concept doesn't apply any more. This is one of many things that puzzle me about USASF.

I have no idea if their difficult for stunts went up since I don't have access to the composite scores... but I'd like to think they did? Their coaches are so experienced, I'm certain they knew what they were doing.

someone wrote why did cu post a picture of spirit falling, and me trying to be funny said cause hes petty. which i then later explained it was a joke and he probably has millions of pictures on his phone he didnt view the one he posted. Im 19, but im naive and forgot that the internet is sensitive.

Didn't CU leave the boards to start CU because he got banned? Or did I make that up lol

He tweets things like that all the time.
And like, I get what he does it stressful and tiresome or whatever but it's his job, a job he made for himself. AFAIK being CU is the full time gig for him, so I kinda think he should suck it up. We all have rough work weeks but that doesn't excuse us acting the way he acts sometimes. Idk why when he claps back at teenagers on twitter we all just write it off as "NCA is a stressful week for him"
We don't excuse other adults acting similarly by saying they had a rough week at work.

CF threw a baby straight ride from a basket grip with no backspot and the AF from the athlete collapsing was removed because the collapse was do to injury. But the AFs other teams got that were because of injuries didn't get removed when they went again.
CF won over OO5 by less than a point if I remember right and they had no deductions.

Edit: And this was after they were so stingy with legality deductions in SS that cost teams globes.

Edit2: Did we ever find out why it wasn't a deduction? Like was there ever an official reason?

This will go right up there with F5 losing in 2012.

Rouge when it was a thing for a season was really good too. But again they had a lot of GT super senior cross overs if I remember correctly.
The only worlds team from GT right now that isn't a louisville team that has been doing really well (or at least that I've noticed) is Fever. But that's from their Chicago location.

im confused by some of the saltiness about ssx. looking at the day 2 scoresheet, even if they had hit, they still would have come in third.

Platinum got 2nd at NCA last season and did pretty well at Cheersport, didn't they?

It's not Chrome/Gold/Jade but not terrible.
