Did coed elite and cali compete each other last year at all before worlds? Cause Coed Elite didn't go to NCA and Cali didn't go to Cheersport...

No, but last year TG was in the mix, which gave Cali and CoEd Elite a team capable of winning to go against. I just think its gonna be a sucky competition year for them untill worlds, because they will never really know where they stand.

Until the last couple of years, International teams weren't allowed to receive paid bids. Now they are, but with only 3 going to finals, the odds of an event producer's bid team reaching finals would be pretty low for an international team.

It's more likely that one of the larger comps like Cheersport or NCA might do it.

probably so some older people in their early/late 20's and early 30's can compete

They have athletes that are over 18 so they can no longer compete in the club divisions. Also it isn't that only 3 can go to worlds it is that only 3 from each country make it to finals. Lots of US teams go to worlds in the international division.

Not only 3 teams can actually go, but Int'l teams have to go through a qualifier round on prelim day and only the top 3 from each country compete at prelims in hopes of moving on to finals.
