Youth team--Miss Lauren :) haha Then I also am a college cheerleader..as a freshman I just call my Coach-Coach, however majority of the upperclassmen call her by her name without the coach portion. In high school it was even more confusing with ages etc. because it also depended what team your on if you are a varsity athlete and a jr/sr we called her by her first name especially but almost ALL of varsity just called her by her first name, whereas jv/freshman called her Coach last name.

IMO if you are at a new gym, coach is always a safe bet or if they introduce themselves than use that name/nickname.

You know, now that I think of it....my older girls call my just by my first name (no Miss in front of it). When they were little they did, but it's dropped off.
At tryouts I tell them, "you can call me FirstName, Ms FirstName, Ms LastName, LastName, put coach in front of either, call me coach, yell "hey you" or "hey lady"...I really don't care).

Now, my man is the head football coach at the same school. He's also a teacher there. His boys call him "Coach LastName", even in the classroom.

We call the owner by her last name, Brenner, but I call her mommy :)

Normally the youth and juniors call the coaches miss rachel, or miss eryn, but even some of the seniors still call their old youth coach miss, then their first name

Our team uses all three! They call Cody and Travis "Coach Cody/Travis" but they call Sunny "Miss Sunny", then Ainsley just gets called by her first name. In tumbling they just call Brett by his first name but call Lou "Coach Lou"...weird because I gigure it would be the other way around....

I have always called my coaches by their first names since I started cheering when I was 8. Some of the little ones I coach call me Miss Ashleigh, but they usually it's just Ashleigh.

The kids at our gym use Coach (first Name). Me personally, I have always taught my cp to put a handle on every adults name outta respect!. Team mom (Ms. Sue) etc. Our Sr 3 team calls their team mom..Momma Toni which is fine too.

First name for everyone except:
We have 3 coaches named Ashley so we call 1 of them 'Little A' and another one by her last name:)

At the gym, most all of the coaches go by their first names but one of my coaches goes by her last name. And at school our head coach goes by her first name and the other two go by their last names.

my coach is theapia. we don't call her coach theapia, but trust me, we respect her more then we respect our own mothers. Thats just how it is. You don't automatically get respect because you throw the word coach before your name, you respect someone for who they are.

How could someone not respect Thepia. She is by far one of the nicest women I have ever met in the cheer world.

My daughters friends are actually the ones that named me Brenner...over 10 years ago.
All of my athletes always called me Karen...or Miss Karen....then my daughters friends joined the program and they were so used to calling me Mrs Brenner that they couldn't call me by my first name. So they just dropped the Mrs and called me Brenner. Now everyone calls me Brenner.
There are many many parents at my gym that have no idea what my first name is.

Out gym is all really close so its all first name, except for the front desk lady who to the younger kids is Miss Lorna
and a coach who is older, and very souther so big on respect and goes only by Ms. G (even to the other coaches aha!)

I always called my coaches "Coach (first name)". Once I graduated high school and started working with them, it took FOREVER for me to not feel weird about calling them by just their first names. Just a matter of habit, I suppose.
