What ever happen with the Merge with Stingrays & Georgia?

I know Georgia is back up again, but what happen?

Jamie Parrish, the owner of Georgia, sold his gym/did not have a program by his choosings forthe 2007/2008 season. Apparently it was to take a break, but I heard that through the grapevine so it may not be totally accurate. Most of the kids went to stingrays, do that year they had an unlimited coed team named "purple" - a generous nod to all the GA kids! Then, Jamie started GA back up with a whole new look and had his senior coed 4 and 5 teams for the 08/09 season. For 09/10, he had senior coed 3,4 and 5, and then added on a large senior all girl. They won worlds, and now they're back!

Hope that helped :)

I made a mistake - the large senior team added in 09-10 was level 4! Whoops :)

What ever happened to The Cheer Zone Tigers? They had two of the best male tumblers I had ever seen a few years ago. Are they still around?
Cheer Zone out of Kentucky? I feel like there was more than one gym with that name. I haven't seen them in at least 2 years so not sure!

no from tennessee? premier sharks?
They're still around. They were at cheersport last weekend with quite a few teams! I think the talent isn't as good as it used to be but I don't really follow them so not sure!

Anyone know what happened to West Coast Mavericks or Champion Cheer Outlaws (I think that was their name - they were black blue and white) both teams were awesome around 99 - 01 era.

I always heard he quit to try to get into choreographing for broadway and hollywood, but it didn't work out so he came back. Stingrays then got big because all the georgia kids had no where to go. Not sure how accurate that story is though!

Remember Pep Club Colts? Where did they ever go?

Pep Club was bought out (I believe) and became showtime spirit, who is the gym that merged with Kentucky Elite...and is now Kentucky Allstars or Premier Kentucky. There are a still quite a few kids from the Pep Club days that are on Kentucky Allstars (The Love sisters, and quite a few others)

i remember excalibur from when i cheered on olympic all stars (open for maybe 3 years? closed after my first year there. another disappearing nj team). i hated going against them cause they were always so good!

I was on jersey devils at the time Excalibur was around... But I remember they had crazy flexibility

As of next season, you might not be hearing much about Az Power Xtreme anymore. They're changing owners, and Kelly is taking her small senior squad over to Desert Storm, so they will be competing under Desert Storm's name. Totally different coaches at Az Power Xtreme and Kelly wont be affiliated with them anymore.

from what I remember, Champion Cheer Outlaws became So Cal Elite Outlaws (I think it was a merge?) and then a few years later they became a part of CheerForce (CF San Diego). I don't remember if it was the same year or not but West Coast Mavericks became CheerForce SD too. so basically all those programs turned into CheerForce San Diego

There are multiple "Cheer Zones". There are The Cheer Zone Tigers from Evansville, IN (http://www.thecheerzone.com/about.asp) and then there is Cheer Zone out of Owensboro, KY (http://www.cheer-zone.com/). To my knowledge, they are both still up and running just fine. I'm sure there are more gyms by that name but these are the two that I am familiar with.

Who is taking over the program at APX? I feel bad for the kids that get into these programs and then have to move around when they shut down. I am guessing some of the other gyms in the area will absorb the lower level kids or DSE will have large teams next season!

Showtime bought some of the assets from Pep Club, but not the business as a whole.

kelly is my coach and i am on small senior. i just talked to her on the phone and none of this is true, i find it very amusing actually. she isnt ever going to give up the name power. this is 100% false. just to clear things up!
