All-Star Openings, Mergers, And Closing Down For The 2011-2012 Season

The official word from Myths went out last night. Unfortunately, they are no more. They had several things fall through and have now closed. Hopefully we see some of that talent come try out at k 1FORCE.

I wonder if some of them went to take advantage of AZ Powers 99 dollar tuition since today was the last day!

I was told today that the new location is just for schools....but who knows

Aw, really? Well then again it wouldn't really make sense to open up a location that's 10 minutes away from the other one.

There were a couple really talented kids at that gym. Don't know where they'll go. The East Valley is a good hour away from Scottsdale and in AZ traffic it can take up to an hour and a half. Their only options are 1Force, AZ Heat (which I just found out opened a 2nd location), USA AllStars and Desert Devils. I'm sure some of the kids will make the trip but others have siblings that are active in other sports and may not be able to get out there.....

right and from what i know some of the coaches left storm when myths was created so I wonder if they would go back, go somewhere else, or not coach anymore. ahhhh we need answers!

Most of the coaches have already left.

Dustin left for APX at the beginning of last summer. He left there when Kelly left to start her own gym. He is currently coaching at 1FORCE for the upcoming season. Devin left end of last summer and moved to KC?, but he tried out and earned a spot on Cheer Athletics for this coming season. Hank tried out and made it on California Allstars and is moving to CA as we speak. Lupe went to coach cheer in Slovenia. Yes. Slovenia. I don't know how long he is going to be over there. Matt is still around and mulling over his options. All those guys are fantastic coaches and good people. They will be missed.

Sadly, I hear that Vanessa and Nick have divorced. Vanessa was such a strong leader (and choreographer) when we were at Myths. Two years ago, we only saw her at competitions and last year, I didn't see her around at all. I absolutely love and miss Vanessa. I am pretty sure she is continuing the 'chicks who stick' line and is definitely still running the Hawaii camps.

I know there are quite a few Northern California kids who have been making the trek down south to Camarillo and San Diego area these last years to be on California All Stars. From what I understand if you want to be on a top notch-chance of winning Worlds- Level 5 that is what you do. Makes sense for CheerForce to do the same I guess. It's sad they can't seem to get really strong level 5 teams up North that would attract top athletes that direction.

i know that many kids from nor cal have left to go to california allstars, in fact many of Cali's most dominant kids are orginally from NorCal/South Bay. its curious though how norcal has continued to produce GREAT athletes, after all of them continue to leave...but i can see how the coaches and teammates from NorCal would be happier to see their athletes leave for sister-program(such as CF) then one that isn't.
