If my daughter were missing for a minute at such a young age, I would've been screaming from the rooftop for help.

For 31 days........."it" was out partying, getting tattoos about the good life, and not showing one ounce of concern....what kind of mother does that? The murdering kind.

They said something on my news this morning that gives me peace: 'It's not that they found her INNOCENT, they found her not guilty.'

Plus- Am I the only one who considered that maybe the reason they didn't find as much forensic evidence was because she lied to the police and waited 31 days to report the incident? If so...SOO not kosher.

ETA: They NEVER would have put her on the stand, because you can't be forced to incriminate yourself, and the defense KNEW that the moment she'd step on that stand she'd be royally screwed.

Well the little girl was in a swampy marsh from about June until December...I'm sure thats why they didn't find evidence on her body.

I dont understand why the media chose this case out of all of the mother "murdering" their children cases. I personally think Casey killed her by accident and freaked out, waited 30 days then realized she should say something. No matter what happened, the whole story is a little sketchy. Caylee was a beautiful child and Casey will live with the guilt of knowing what happened to her the rest of her life. That alone is like imprisonment.

Lets all remember that none of us were jurors in this case. We had loads on media influence that shaped the way we viewed the case. The jurors had none. They did not know that all of America thought that Casey was guilty. I am not saying that Casey was innocent because I believe she was guilty, but it was not the jurors fault. The prosecution needs to prove without a doubt that she did it. This is a 100% circumstantial case. How would everyone on here feel if in a few years evidence comes out to prove that she was innocent? If she was convicted of the crime, she would have been already executed. You can not say someone is guilty when their life is on the line, unless there is without a shadow of a doubt that she did it.

ETA* RIP Caylee <3

The jury wasn't picked and sequestered 3 years ago. You'd have to have been living under a rock to not have heard about this case before the trial started. So they most certainly DID know all of America thought she was guilty.

And as for finding out later that she was innocent? You must not be very familiar with our judicial system - she would NO WAY have already been executed. Most people on death row die of natural causes before we EVER get around to actually executing them. She would have just sat there for 30 years appealing and appealing...until someone in prison killed her. But I'm not really living in any fear that we'll ever see evidence that proves her innocence.

Sorry but nothing anyone says will EVER convince me that there is a reason for duct tape to EVER be on another human's face...unless it was put there to suffocate them. You don't put duct tape on a dead body. You just don't. Whether she testified or not is irrelevant...why did the jury think duct tape was on the baby??? DUCT TAPE??? ON A BABY??? If that doesn't say murder, I don't know what does.

..Maybe for someone that isn't a sociopath. Didn't she write a year ago that as soon as she got out of prison she was going to have another child...

I really hope not. Poor innocent child coming into the world and ends up having a "murderer" as a mother. I know shes not guilty of murder but somehow she knows what happened to Caylee.

I do not think yopu can "know" she is not guilty...she was not proven innocent.....the jury just said there was not enough to remove reasonable doubt...though I have no clue what the heck any reasonable person would need given the 31 days....the huge parties and tattoos she was enjoying and the duct tape....how bleeding heart can people be...she is a monster...she killed her daughter....period

I've never understood how one case is picked up by the media whilst others that are similar never even make the news. It reminds me of the Madeleine McCann media frenzy (or did you guys in America not hear about that?).

What I can't understand is, as a parent, dealing with the choice between helping convict your daughter of murdering your granddaughter, or helping her go free KNOWING she's unfit to be a parent, a horrendously unstable liar (who accused your husband of molesting her), might very well HAVE murdered your granddaughter (and you know the truth) and the POSSIBILITY she might get pregnant again and CONTINUE that cycle of unfit parenting..

ETA: I could NEVER be that stoic knowing I had 'accidentally' killed my daughter. Especially if she were that young. I'd be a mess of grief and you'd KNOW something was wrong.

Ok, lets look at this "accidently killed her child". Lets say its true and play crazy for a moment. If I "accidentally" killed my 2 year old, then decided to hide my accident.....if I did truly loved this child, I would've found a better place for her then the swamp down the road, bagged and duck taped.

Even when I try to wrap my head around this excuse, the fact of that this child was thrown away like a piece of trash makes me sick. She is a murderer anyway I look at it.

Exactly. She lied from day one, when her mother questioned her as to not having seen caylee for awhile. She told LIE after LIE after LIE - never once saying "drowning" was the cause of death until the trial. Never once saying things about her father till the trial. The defense was just throwing out anything they could to take the focus off of Casey....not caring what they were saying and doing were yet again more LIES. Her mother lied about the searches...it was proven she was at work when those searches were made, and could not have been on the home computer at that time. Nothing that the defense presented was true...YET the jurors chose to believe their side more, instead of how caylee's body was found dumped in the woods with duct tape - due to an accidental drowning... The jurors got to see the jail taped videos of Casey's interaction with her parents - it baffles me that they could convict her on FOUR counts of lying, yet choose to believe the defenses claim that she didn't have anything to do with the death...of course not! - she MUST be telling the truth - since she has shown to be so truthful....

Yes she was guilty of lying.. The underlying issue is the DA and the State did not give the jury and the court a way out. It was all or nothing. There should have been many different charges filed from obstruction, tampering with evidence, etc. They only charge her with murder in the first with the death penalty and did not prove that. The charges should have been piled on. Heck include jay walking if need be.

I can not believe how the DA screwed up on this..

I remember 3 years ago when I first heard about this, and I was appalled that a mother would let her child go missing for 31 days, that will never be erased from my mind. I don't think I will ever get past that alone.

This whole case and situation is in someone else's hands now, and she will get what is coming for her.

Rest in peace baby girl, your in a better place.

The meter reader first called in that he saw something in august. The police just ignored it. If the police department answered the call, the body wouldnt have been decayed that far and there would have been more DNA. Cant we blame the police for alot of this mess. If there was more DNA then Casey Anthony would probably be on death row by now. This probably is going to sound cold, but I bet you that she goes out into the real world and some angry lunatic murders her. Everyone is angry about this, someone will take it to that extreme.
