What about these grandparents and the monsters brother? The grandfather was accused by the defense (CASEY!) that he sexually abused her since she was 8. The brother was accused by the defense (CASEY!) that he sexually abused her too. I just heard that NONE of them have spoken to her since the verdict came in....its been over 24hrs!

I wonder if they will be there for her tomorrow...I certainly wouldn't be if this were my child.

But who knows what the truth really is. Seems like they're all liars.

I figured that because of hiding the body she could have been charged with the abuse charge, but no she was found not guilty of that.

Yes! If you are sitting in on a jury for a death penalty case then you should be examining that evidence like crazy to make sure the right verdict has been reached. I had to sit in on a mock murder trial for the law school students and even for the mock trial it took a week for us to come to the verdict after going over every little piece of evidence. Whether or not a case is circumstantional does not make the evidence any less important.

If people want to say the Prosecution didn't do a good job at proving their case please show me where the Defense attorney proved his? I can't believe the man passed the bar and practices law he was that bad. If the prosecution didn't prove their case, neither did he so why didn't the jury go for a hung jury and hand the case over to a new jury in a new trial?

There is some talk of a mistrial, which I doubt will happen -due to some of the comments made by a juror and an alternate.
Since the jurors did not ask to review anything, or ask the court questions or get any clarification on any of the charges, etc.- I wish that could be cause for a mistrial - they did their job by reaching a verdict, but didn't review any evidence. To me, the defense's claims are more unbelievable than what the prosecutions evidence showed - had it actually been reviewed and logically discussed in deliberations. Since it was a death penalty case/Murder one - the jury felt the need to say the prosecution didn't prove that - But they also didn't review all the evidence...Caylee was last in Casey's care, and died.

sadly..its a done deal...:(

Apparently people aren't too happy that some jurors are all TOO eager to sell their stories..How dare you attempt to make money off the back of a dead little girl. For shame.

She only got four more years & a $4000 fine...
I guess it's better than her leaving, so I'll take it.

Than don't buy the book, see the movie, or support any of the sponsors.

The jurors are not the villains here. They were charged by the court to render a verdict beyond a reason of a doubt. If you have never served on a jury than you will not understand what this means. You can not speculate anything. You have to go on the evidence that the DA presented. It is his responsibility to connect the dots and he did not in this case. the interviews that were done already, each juror said the same thing., hat the state and the DA did not answer How, When, Where, and Why and they could not based on the charges render a guilty verdict.

They all have stated they were sick to render the verdict they did, but based on the case and charges they were given and following the judges instructions there was nothing they could do as they still had many questions.

Remember that the information that the jury gets is NOT the same that you and I got during the trial.

It is a crime that the DA closed the case and left so much open. He dropped the ball on some many levels and should be held accountable for his actions as well.

She will get hers.. The whole thing makes me sick..

She is also getting credit for the years shes already done. Judge said she will be out by late July or early August

So I heard this morning that one of the jurors said that while listening to the father's testimony, he apparently flip-flopped "sides" (defense/prosecution) and it seemed as if he was lying based on inconsistensies in his story. This really made it clear, to that juror, that his entire testimony was crap and that he was withholding information. She said his testimony really solidified, for her, that he had something to do with Caylee's death.
Now...was it not clear that Casey was lying, based on inconsistensies in her story? Didn't she withhold information? If you think one thing for one person involved, would you NOT think the same for another who exhibited the SAME behaviors??
Ockham's Razor, y'all.

Maybe they file charges on him and the mom which there is talk of.
