I can't stand when it goes down to 2nd and 1st place awards and when the second place team is called and you hear the 1st place team shouting when its the 2nd place teams moment. Nothing really pisses me off more, such bad sportsmanship.

Also, when your screaming at a flyer in the air to tighten up and she does the exact opposite and comes plunging down to the mat. Well, if she had listened to me, you could be in a cozy cradle instead of eating the blue :)

Oh my spirit stick, i forgot a few more. People that completely bail on tumbling over and over and over again. Im totally guilty of bailing on skills every now and then, im pretty sure everyone is, but to do it repeativly like im talking more then 5 times is honestly ridiculous.

People who give their coaches attitude really really irritate me. How are you supposed to back talk and roll your eyes to someone who hand selected you to be a part of something great? They are there to help YOU, you my dear cheerleader do nothing for them. Yet you'll throw fits and mouth off? Get outta here, so disrespectful.

I hate when bases blame things on the flyer (same with coaches)
I hate when bases would rather protect themselves than the girl whos getting thrown into the air. really? suck it up, the flyers gonna get hurt more if you dont catch her because you dont want to hurt yourself.

actually, i remember a few times when ive seen a flyer fall to the ground and manage to injure her base on the way down. She got up and was fine.. her base got a dislocated shoulder. Im not saying dropping a flyer is acceptable, but sometimes the flyer is at fault and sometimes, a stunt can not be saved.

I cant stand when I complain to my friends like "omg today practice was impossible" and they say something like
"oh yeah I bet.." This normally ends with me proving that Im stronger then all of them (mostly dancers and XC runners) and I can run a 7 minute mile, which is basically on par with my friends who don't try at XC. It just frustrates me about how hard I have to work and how they always ask me if I have tumbling or practice if I could 'skip'. They constantly skip their practices, and they don't work HALF as hard as I do, yet they are considered the athletes technically. They always talk about how at their practices (running) they run home and eat then catch their team when they are on their lap back to the school. I thought about if I were to somehow do this, how much I would have to pay for it in the end. They also complain about how hurt they get and how my injuries are nothing to what they've gotten. I'm sorry, but their shin splints cannot compare to a fractured L4 vertebrae. It drives me nuts how hard all of us work and we still are not considered athletic, yet people who are called athletes don't put in any effort or dedication. Another point I would always make to my XC friends mostly is, you can train every day for XC and get 2 minutes off your starting mile time in like a couple weeks. With cheerleading, it takes years to get good, you cant just waltz into a gym, take a couple classes, and expect to do whip doubles and one arm rewinds to a no-hand heel stretch then double down.

I hate when teams are posted and parents try and use my cp(or any other cheerleader) to say well my kid has xyz just like yours so why did mine not make the same team. Ummm well obviously the coaches did not think they should be on that team! I also hate parents who do nothing that sit and critique the team mom or gift bags! Really!?!?!?!? You do nothing so you have no right to complain.

I hate when my mom calls all-star 'Fake' cheerleading. I almost lost it one day when she said that to me. Needless to say, she was a school cheerleader in high school.

Wow I feel like I haven't seen any of your posts in so long :)!

& I agree - other people will say like my daughter kind of has her BHS and my daughter is older then yours and has cheered for 2 more seasons- why was your daughter put on that team and not mine!

I want to be like Hello I didn't make the teams why don't you go ask the coach!

I also hate when everyone thinks there daughter should fly. I'm sorry that your daughter is to big for everyone to lift up- I don't care if she is younger it's not going to happen! This is not a junior or senior team where the girls are strong enough to lift someone bigger then them!! On some youth and mini teams it's going to be the small girl who goes up! Sorry!!!

Also seeing the same girl come in everyday with snack cakes, twinkies, fruit roll ups, and chips. This is a 1 hr practice for mini's!! Do you really need junk food on every break? Don't you eat dinner when you leave- I mean practice is over at 6 for this team?

My daughter doesn't eat that crap on a daily basis and most definitely not at practice!!

Although yesterday she was putting it in her locker and stepped on her Swiss cake rolls and I couldn't help but laugh!!!

One of my biggest pet peeves is when someone says that Dunbar is the only good high school team out there. Yes they are very very good. But there are plenty of teams out there that are better. Georgia is full of them. Its just 2 very different styles.

I am not sure why everyone wants to fly!!!! It is way more stressful at competitions!!! I agree about the junk food!!!! :)

lol funny!!! I have 3 cheering on 4 teams so I live at Fame now. I need to get a laptop!!! :)

Girl, you forget I know you. You LIVED at Fame last year. Your name just isn't on the lease, this year.

I agree with this. Yes, obvioulsy the flyer can get seriously hurt if they fall. But to make it sound like the base is just trying to protect herself (or himself) from a paper cut isn't fair. My daughter was really badly hurt - she broke 3 bones in her face - from a flyer not, well, I don't know what you call it? "Collapsing"? I don't cheer. But basically she came down spread eagle like a star fish - ROCK solid - and knocked my daughter to the ground like she'd been in a fight. So I don't think it's that the base doesn't think the flyer can get hurt...just that it's natural instinct to not want your face broken.
@Fameous MOM where have you been? Making goody bags? Unappreciated goody bags no less? :(

@Kris10boo I'm LOLing about the swiss cake rolls. :p Especially at the 1 hour practice.
