I liked the older Degrassi (original and new generation). Not a fan at all of the new cast, but I still watch it randomly.

The older cast was so much better. Jimmy and Spinner were my favorites. I'm not a fan of the actors in the latest episodes. I only like Sav (who we don't really see that much of anymore) and Eli.

I really enjoyed the Emma/Spinner/Liberty/Manny/Jimmy/Paige generation the best. I think it did the best at the show's purpose which was to go through the everyday problems kids had. It's storylines were better and the archs from show to show were better. I like the newer ones too, I guess its like a soap opera. Somebody dies and somebody new moves into town. But I haven't had time to watch much of the new season

I liked older new generation cast better, but it makes sense that they arent there anymore...beign that they're too old to be in high school.

This new stuff are just the same storylines with slight twists.

Can anyone tell me what Holly J said at the very end of last nights episode. My satelite like skipped. She said "She wants to but she......"

I cant make out the end. Was it "wont"?

I read that many of the cast left because the show was really screwing them over and wanted to replace them. From what I read many were hurt by the way they were treated which makes sense as to how they disappeared so quickly.

People like Toby and Liberty's brother? Didn't they just graduate as well

They Followed Manny, Emma and Liberty to college (which was boring)..but they were all there when Emma married Spencer (which was ridiculous).

Jimmy left to go be Drake...which was a smart move. Sure it pays better.

Shanae Grimes left to go be on 90201.

Mia left to go be on Vampire Diaries.

I do miss Elle and Marco (not Paige), Alex, Sean etc but...they all went thru 7th or 9th grade-12th...so their story line really had nothing to do with Degrassi Community School anymore.

The only person that was wrongfully terminated too soon, and screwed over was JT. They had no business stabbing him like that.
Personally I like that they old people graduate and move on (like at real high school)....I just wish they did a better job casting/storylines with the new people

Several of the original cast members (not jr high originals) planned on staying on the show a little longer but were let go by producers. Aubrey Graham (Drake) was quoted saying that they did the entire case "foul" so many are on bad terms with the producers.

......Seems like he'd be the last one complaining about being "let go". I'm sure Young Money pays better than Degrassi....
