That pyramid does look so good. Definitely pushes the limits of pyramids, which is something we should expect from this team (obvi) that catch does look illegal since any flipping release move requires three catchers(pyramids E.6). I'm sure c. Pope is well aware of that though! I bet it was a missing athlete or something but that is most definitely not something I would think that someone of her caliber would miss!

That was Maddie's first night taking Gabie's part in the pyramid ( who won't be able to perform this weekend due to a sprained ankle )..we need lots of fixing like three catchers and the right number of people on the mat ( we are putting 40 on the floor for SE this weekend ) and also our routine to fit nicely into 2:30 instead of 2:40 as it currently is...but this weekend is more about putting it all out there and then we'll trim down the excess...The showcase is all about building confidence and giving everyone a chance to see what they can do when it is all on the line. This team has reinvented who I am not only as a coach but more importantly as a person...they could write a book on uphill battles, overcoming obstacles, and achieving dreams...as someone who eats, sleeps, and breathes these routines and Senior Elite...trust that I know the weaknesses, the places where we need to add skill, and in this case bodies to catch to make things legal...but for now the trick is making it work safely and being excited about what is possible. PS The choreographed extra third catcher in this video and this weekend is too busy saving a different life to be where she is supposed to be once we get it all together.

Love the pyramid! And totally get where you are coming from. Can't wait to see your teams this weekend (sadly, from home) good luck and sorry to hear about gabie, hope she has a speedy recovery!

I think that's a similar stunt, but the team I remember performing it was a coed squad prior to CNY!! For some reason I want to say Outlaws or something. Anyway, I can't wait to see how Famous incorporates this into their sequence!!!
