How do you stretch to get your jumps so hyper extended like that? I get great height on my jumps and I stretch all time, but apparently I'm stretching wrong because my toe touch doesn't hyper exend.
Believe it or not, a toe touch isn't all flexibility, a lot of it is strength, so you have enough power to snap your legs up, and manage to get them together before you meet the ground again... You also have to learn how to rotate your hips completely under you, if your chest is down, its going to make this much more difficult.. when doing a toe touch, keep your legs closer in, try to get your knees to your arm pits,.. the wider the angle of your straddle, the more difficult it will be to get your legs "head high".. I could go on and on for days about how to help your toe touch, so if anybody has questions, I would love to help:)
 
Okay this was in my kitchen, and I hate jumping on anything other than spring floor, so I never do them as well as I can
but w.e
Quality sucks, and yes, my left leg is straight.

Lennon Sullen "Thunder All-Stars" and Joe Mateo "Rockstar" the two best jumpers I've ever seen!!! I don't have pics but if you ever find any you will be AMAZED!
Oh yeah and throw in Tye Hill and Matt McGrath!!!
 
Smoed is beast with the jump section. Dont see many kids doing 5 jumps to standing full in a routine. Wonder how many jumps Kiara can do to standing full?

It's an akward concept, but once you get it it will make complete sense to you. One thing that helped me was doing them in front of a mirror. When you do them try to get your legs towhere you can see the back of your legs in the mirror. Hopefully that makes sense:)

I've heard it explained that you have to try and show the audience your butt, however I don't know if that makes any sense either :p

I guess it was a good day, it's never gone that high in my kitchen since.
I wish I had a picture of my double 9 still, it's my favourite jump and strangely my best? (the height of ian's pike)

double 9's = my worst enemy

I know a lot of people who hate them, and I've only ever seen a few people do them well, so it was kinda a surprise when I did one randomly and it was that high. I'll try and take a picture tomorrow

Call me crazy, but I want my toe touch to be higher... my pike is nowhere near where I want it to be, hopefully I hey it towhere my chest is completly up, and my legs are pretty close to perpendicular to the ground... Hahaha
they're still amazing! lol
