Most likely what it is. I didn't know if it was 15 or 30... lol :p
Thats what I figured, I had to think about it for a second I always think about the number of classes im taking not hours. Mines never just 15 cause of being a math major. Most of my schools math classes are at least 4 hours. My friends make fun of me cause I have to think about the number of hours im taking

currently applying to grad schools... ugh i didn't miss this process AT. ALL.

also petrified i won't get in to any i'm applying to. :( I want to do OT and every accredited program takes MAX 30 people a year. I have a good GPA and all, i'm just scared because i have NO idea what i'll do if i don't get into one. (well.. i guess i'd use my B.S. degree in public health, but really with budget cuts those jobs don't exist.)

good luck to everyone else on this thread and congrats to those who got accepted !! some of you seem like some serious smarty pants :p

What school did you do your undergrad at and where are you applying now? I'm interested I'm physical therapy and am looking for more options.

i went/go to stockton college, which is a small school in nj.. and depending where you're from you've probably never heard of it.

However, if New Jersey is somewhere you'd be willing to go, they have pre-PT/OT and MSOT and DPT programs. I also believe if you are applying as a freshman you can get into an accelerated BS/DPT program and not have to worry about getting in your junior/senior year.. and you skip a masters and get a doctorate ;) basically a win-win.

Strangely enough, I cannot get into my own undergrad school for graduate study. (i didn't decide OT was what i was meant to do until spring my junior year so i do not meet the prerequisites for their program.. or the other schools in NJ. and at this point, i'm graduating in May NO MATTER WHAT, so adding an extra semester just isn't an option for my parents who are celebrating paying their last college tuition bill since i'm the youngest in my family and i'm on my own to pay for grad school.)

So I'm applying to:
Florida: FIU, Barry, and Nova Southeastern
Pennsylvania/Philly: PhilaU, Temple, Misericordia, Howard
NY: Ithaca, Stony Brook
and then randomly Radford in VA.. and I don't think I want to go there ever, but I have a weird feeling that I have a good shot of getting in there, so I added it since everyone advises applying to MINIMUM 10 schools since it's so competitive.

I so wish I knew what I wanted to do at 17 and I wouldn't be so petrified at the moment.. good luck and feel free to ask me any more questions! I may not know everything about PT but at this point, i feel like a walking college brochure so I can probably lead you in the right direction!

I'm from Ohio and I'm only a junior, but from what I can see online (haven't visited yet) I like the University of South Florida a lot! I really want to go south, and obviously there are a lot of closer options but South Florida has so much, including a School of PT. My parents always remind me that going to a local school for undergrad and then applying to South Florida (or anywhere actually) is an option but I'm not sure I can wait that long to get out of Ohio! Thanks for all the information and I'll pm you if I have any other questions :)

I plan on applying to UNC Wilmington, App State, Western Carolina, U of VA, UNC Chapel Hill (mainly because they have a STUNT team), and U of West FL. UWF seems random, but I live in FL and my parents want me to apply to at least one in state school just in case I decide to stay and because they're secretly hoping I go there because in state is so much cheaper than out of state.

I'm a SIGMA KAPPA too!!! :)
I'm a little late, but me too! Alpha Sigma Chapter at Westminster College in PA. I've been out of school more than 25 years and a bunch of us still get together for dinner every couple of months.

I just got my first acceptance and I'm sooo stoked! I got into Azusa Pacific and got a $10,000 a year scholarship :)
My oldest daughter is a junior there..her roommate is from Huntington (I see your location) and my second daughter will be a freshman next year and is hoping to do the Acro and Tumble team. You will love APU!!!

That's funny you thought I was from Huntington. I'm actually from Santa Cruz. :p We get a little territorial here and say we're the real surf city even though most people know Huntington as Surf City.
I'm glad your daughter likes it! That's good to know :)
