This might be completely premature. But if the coaches and athletes need a place to practice to finish out the season, my gym does not use our space on fridays and saturdays for team practices. We are not terribly close to any of the gyms (rockville, Md). But if it helps to get through the season we would love to help.

I am sure the "Other" Gyms in the area don't mind expanding their program. From what I see on Facebook some of them didn't waste any time & have already started advertising and offering to "help out". However, I do understand the business side and "The show must go on" mentality, However, I think owners of other programs should be a little sensitive to the kids who actually LOVE their program & give the parents time to explain to their kids what's going on. I hope it all works out and more importantly THE KIDS are able to emotionally cope.

this is very decent of you! I'm not even a Vipers parent but this was a very sweet offer.
My thoughts are with the families of Vipers affected by this. I hope everything works out for them.

I agree that this is heartbreaking and emotionally taxing... But some of the other gyms in the area were notified by viper athletes and coaches who are scrambling for a home toward the end of the season... I dont see anything wrong with offering to make arrangements to take in athletes whose seasons have been cut short, it will be a sacrifice on all parties to find the time and resources to pull this off but I'm thankful someone is willing to do it.

WOW, talk about a 'snake in the grass'. very telling...gosh, wasn't their L5 team at NCA this past weekend? I'm sure of it, and a girl from Anaconda was on out flight!!

Yes they were there, but from what I heard Ron was not there with the teams.

I agree, there is absolutely NOTHING wrong. Like I said, I am speaking about the kids that LOVE their Viper program. It is going to be an emotional adjustment. I hope the KIDS and PARENTS of the kids are okay first and foremost and that the coaching staff is able to continue to do what they love. If it's at another gym great, but I still feel for those babies and parents.

I agree these kids are going to have a hard time adjusting to this news. As a parent though you are busy working on a solution and I'm sure they are greatful to know other gyms are willing to help. I know our owners made an offer but they did not mention the name of the closing gym and they only did so after many phone calls from Vipers parents who are in a scramble looking to find their kids a new cheer home.

Again there is NOTHING wrong. It's sad to have your season cut short. It's nice that the larger gyms have the resources to help out in a bad situation. AGAIN....I feel extremely bad for the kids who love their program and went to bed a Viper and woke up MAYBE something else. It's just a lot for kids to take in and especially for the parents who are still in the dark. Hopefully they can all continue to do what they love and adjustments and resolutions can be made.

The coaches and staff are working very hard right now to keep everything together. A lot is being done behind the scenes at the moment and everyone will be told what is happening very soon. I am just thankful that there are coaches who do this for the kids and will do anything to make it work. Some amazing people are really stepping up to the plate right now.
