I need some info. Does anyone know the approximate number of athletes registered with USASF at this time?

I was so confused by her over the top response to you that I went back to look for your original post because I knew her take on it wasn't what I remembered reading.
Hahah I know. The quoting on her post was weird and there wasn't much I could do about it through tapatalk on my phone :/

I have been following this thread and have read the same few posters repeat themselves over and over again. I think you have beat this horse to death and it is time to move on. My take on this is a disgruntled employee started this by calling out a gym, others joined in the finger pointing of another gym and now you all have attacked it from every angle like an angry mob.

The gym owners explained themselves and defended themselves and that is still not enough because you all feel the necessity to call them petty, childish names and defend and deflect the poor sportsmanship that was apparently exhibited by your athletes in Dallas.

Until there is a rule that defines the clear leveling of this sport, stop the drama and stop trying to destroy people that you do not know. Why is is so difficult to believe that their intentions were for the experience? Do you know what their thought processes were at the time they made their decisions to go to UCA, I think not.

If you think these were the only two teams at UCA that were supposedly "sandbagging", I have some swampland in the desert for sale! I have no dog in this fight, but I also think enough is enough. Take it up in another thread and move on already!!

There is quite a bit of good coming from this thread, and I think it is far from time to "move on" It seems as though the "moving on" has gone on long enough. It's time to try to come up with a solution to help stop this unethical way of winning. Heck I don't have a dog in this fight either however to me right is right and wrong is wrong and to me this is WRONG.

Apparantly you didn't read the thread as well as you might think. Two gyms clearly put teams together SOLEY for the purpose of competing at NCA. They had to compete at least once prior per NCA's new rule. These two teams that were called out will not compete after NCA and both teams were made up of majority higher level athletes than the level they competed at. Per USASF rules it is not cheating, however NCA did create a rule, so these teams did compete in violation of NCA's sandbagging policy, and it is cheating in my book. Sure, there were probably other gyms that sandbagged, and it is my hope that they all get called out and we beat this horse to death so badly that the cheating stops.

Not sure what teams you are talking about but Rockstar The Who competed 4 times and did not violate NCA's policy.. Just stating the facts

No I read it and as I have stated I thought there was another thread to address this issue and think the negativity needs to stop. If you have solutions, present them in an intelligent, mature manner in the appropriate thread and then present them to the appropriate individuals to help level set this sport. Time to take this back to what it was intended to be.

Now in this case, even 20 lvl 2's competiting on a lvl 1 doesn't mean those lvl 2 can work those mad lvl one skills. Have you seen a senior lvl 5 kid try to do a back walkover lately? We witnessed this a couple of months ago and it was hilarious!!! Just thought this was funny because of the visual that came into my head ;) (back to the discusssion at hand)
i cant do a backwalkover for my life haha and im on l5

I don't think anyone has accused you of violating NCA's new policy. However, many of us believe you absolutely ignored the intent of the policy. I saw y'all for the first time at NCA one day in Atlanta. Absolutely loved the routine by Smashing Pumpkins. From comments I have seen from people more familiar with your gym, you have an excellent reputation for putting out solid competitive teams. Unfortunately, the decision you made to put together The Who as a level 2 team has hurt that reputation with many regardless of your stated reasons for doing so . I will concede that perhaps that isn't fair, but most of us are looking at it from the standpoint of how we would feel if we had a team that ended up competing against yours.

Fair point however I operate my business based on my customers and not anyone else. I have every coach, 20 parents and athletes who agree with our decision. At the end of the day I have my business to operate and be concerned with. As long as my customers are happy then I'm happy. Everyone involved in this decision felt is was the right one for us.

You cannot presume to know someone's intent..that is what troubles me about all of this. I saw Rockstar's video, which by the way was posted on this thread prior to NCA. Everyone had their video and knew exactly what they would be putting on the floor. From watching the NCA video, looks like they didn't change a thing. Wouldn't this also be called cheating by every other team who knew exactly what their competitor (Rockstar) was doing? Didn't the other teams then have an unfair advantage? Rockstar looks like a young team to me against some of their competition. I think where they excel is in being clean and sharp. They are known for this from their minis to senior teams.

Just saying, time to stop this insanity. You are going round in circles and getting no where fast.

I'm sorry if I misinterpret this, but it seems the only people who want this dropped are new posters, which I find way too coincidental.

Whether individual posters stop calling out a program is their freedom of choice - and not yours. Where I agree with your position is that perhaps it is time to move on. But not to move on and forget this happened, but move to stop it from happening again.

The programs that did this will live with the stain on their reputation for a long time. There was nothing ethical or sportsmanlike about this. The decision-makers certainly could not have been blind to the potential for getting ripped apart by their peers who look outside of self-gratification and toward the long term health and image of the sport they love and respect.

So what you are saying is that every one of these parents and cheerleaders were warned of the potential consequences of this decision - which surely you and the coaches knew could happen - and they were OK with this? They were willing to be the targets of the looks and comments we saw directed at them at NCA?

And that every OTHER athlete that wears the Rockstar uniform willingly agreed to become the target of snide comments and dirty looks that are surely going to come - at Worlds and other competitions in the future.

Why do I find this impossible to believe? You threw them under the bus.

Whatever, several of us have taken this offline to work on a solution to prevent programs from doing this in the future. Move to Plan B.

Exactly my point...an assumption was made here that is completely false....new poster does not equal new to Fierce Boards.

So again, I ask you all to stop trashing someone's reputation because you do not like actions that you deem unethical, but are within the rules. So you all do not agree, that is your right, you have stated it, so now stop the negativity.

I do not always agree with what others post, say, or do either. Your point has been made, and again, time to move on.Turn the negativity into something positive and constructive and make a real difference........
