ProX died very shortly after Memorial Day, but for the life of me, I can't remember why

Server was completely overwhelmed and Craig Tatum decided to shut down the board. Just before Memorial Day, I had added new levels for certain number of posts and with the holiday weekend, many people stayed up all night posting just to reach the new levels.

The admins/moderators tried to delete enough threads/posts to let the computer work again, but we never could get ahead.

Plus, there were some pretty silly accusations that we were taking the board down, etc. on purpose. Complete fabrication, but Craig had enough and that was basically the end of it.

I remember on the really old boards- yes, I was very young, but I've always been technology and socially savvy- my username was cheerleaderkisses13 and there was this one guy named BigAl that was telling us that he had no experience in cheerleading but had interest in being a coach and asked us for advice about it. I just now realize that he was a little bit creepy- he would ask young girls to ask their parents if they could give him their phone numbers and addresses so he could call and write them. I also remember I made a friend that was on Ohio Explosion.

I couldn't remember if they were connected, but I do remember it wasn't very long after the whole Memorial Day fiasco. So much drama on that old board. It's really unbelievable to think about how bad it used to be.

Does anyone remember Acedad's "I Like Big Bows"?

I know mstealtoyou and I have both been on the boards since 2001 or 2002 - we "met" on the old AOL cheer board. I can't really remember everyone we all used to talk with, but it was alot of college kids, including a girl from Top Gun, Justin F. and just a handful of some cheer moms that have come and gone. I got on ProX probably in 2003 and was also on a Yahoo parent board (which had plenty of drama) back then and that is where I met so many people, and we started meeting up at competitions and there were many many good times! Many of these people I am still friends with to this day, that I got to see again over NCA weekend. I may no longer have kids in cheer, but this is an industry with great people that is still dear to my heart!

And not really trying to brag, but I have known F5 Jason for so long, I know his story. He used to have it on his MySpace page! Love you Miss Hunnay!
