Instead of standing fulls they will do tuck fulls or tuck doubles.

I think some of it is fine, the Youth 5 rules I agree with, the uniforms changes I agree with, the Internationl age change I agree with, but I do not like limitations and elimination of tumbling skills in senior level 5.

Or toe fulls? I didn't notice anything about that, unless they consider it standing still....gray area?

I agree with you, i also like the bottom age of 10 for senior....for gym and team purposes, i get it for sure, i have placed 10 year olds on senior teams, but 10-18 is a huge age gap, and its hard to shelter the 10 year olds from hearing the topics the 18 year olds talk about...under 10 is too young to be around seniors so i think that is a great idea!

if they did feel the need to restrict tumbling i could understand that....Maybe even if they said no double doubles in standing, and no more than 2 consecutive doubles in running may be at least a little bit reasonable....but this is farrrr too much restriction. Any half way decent level 5 team is going to be able to COMPLETELY max out their tumbling with little to no work or effort, and every team will score the same tumbling scores

Here's my biggest issue with all of this. I'm going to use a team I'm familiar with as an example.
The new international age grid. From what I know, around half (possibly more) of Cheer Sport Great Whites are under 17. That gym (no offence to the girls in the gym) does not have the talent above 17 to create a team as competitive as the team is now. I can't speak to many other teams, but I do know that there are quite a few athletes between 14-17 that compete in international (at least here in Canada, Idk about the USA) because there are either not enough 17+ athletes to field a competitive open team, or not enough senior athletes to create a truly competitive senior 5 team, or both.

Why are high level tumbling skills ok for gymnastics and power tumbling, but not cheer??????????

Because there are actual guidelines on becoming a high level coach in gymnastics. You can't go into coaching elite level gymnastics and power tumbling by taking a day long course with a written test. You need to have a LOT of experience, take MANY classes, and have put it in many hours in a gym.
I know at least here in Canada I had to pay hundreds of dollars and attend 3 separate coaching weekends (two 9 hour days) just to be able to be qualified to coach a back handspring.
