Then stop talking about it. It's like people who start threads about "I have the new SS Worlds music and it's amazing" but aren't willing to share. You posted once about it...why keep repeating yourself? (And I like you Andrew I actually looked for you this weekend but didn't see anyone that looked like your picture.) LOL Just let it go sweetie!
I completely get you, I just don't like the idea of people getting away with crap like that. Sorry! Lol. But yeah, I completely understand :)

and that is why i dont sit in the fierceboard section at worlds. im not going to "@" anyone, but they make themselves unbearable to be around. JUST SAYING... i understand if you have a desire to get drunk but um.....

who wouldnt want to get drunk/be hungover in their seat for hours and hours and listen to loud screaming people/music and be in a bright room..? sounds like a good time guys.....:cheering:
Just to clarify....we aren't all like that.

I think it is hypocritical for the USASF to say my 14 year old can't be on our internatonal team because they are worried about her being around the older kids on the team but openly advertised the block party where they were all together. I can't understand thier thought process. From what I have heard that party has got out of hand a little more each year.
the actually block party was just like any other day at disney. If you were drunk there, it happened before you got there trust me. They made some of my athletes throw away sealed cans of energy drinks even. As in unopened. They didn't let anything slide, and honestly were some of the roughest not so nice security i've ever seen anywhere. But they need to be lol.

Ironically though, the guy who was checking my bag for booze, was definitely drunk. He smelled like a freaking brewery.

But in my case, I saw notable "cheerlebrities" doing some crazy stuff. Calling them out is like opening Pandora's Box unfortunately.

I've been scanning the boards for the last few days before finishing up here and I have been really impressed with the discussion and insight of everyone. As my last post here I want to be certain that everyone knows that this is not my cheerlebrity, she was with us virtually the whole weekend when not competing and did not go to any block party or do any "crazy stuff". Not her style, and I know Andrew did not say or imply that she did, just want to be certain everyone is clear on that point. Thanks for all the support and even the criticism, in the end it was all beneficial. Best of wishes to all.

Maybe a dumb question here, but I will ask anyway. If you have a paid bid, are you required to stay in the Allstar or whatever the host hotel is?? Or can your gym choose to keep your team altogether and still be able to use the bid money towards a hotel with less notoriety?

I can definitely confirm that it was NOT your daughter.

I was wondering if we would get a farewell post from you... Your insight will be missed! Best of luck to Maddie next year and thank you to Cassie for the updates over the weekend! Best freshman roommate ever..

I get what you are saying and agree that most probably showed up intoxicated. It is just very concerning to me that we are trying to get this sport recognized in a positive light and gain credibility in the sporting world and this kind of stuff happens. We have to be very conscience of the image we are projecting right now. If we care about the future of this sport for all involved now and those to come we (coached and parents and even the athletes) are going to have to control ourselves and our kids. USASF needs to quit worrying about the age and tumbling restrictions and start focusing on our image. If that means they have to ban some coaches and athletes for being acting inappropriately then so be it.

Not true. I saw a few kids with water bottles that were clearly not filled with water. I even saw a security guard go up to a kid, take his drink, smell it, show it to someone else and then throw it away. But the kid was never kicked out or reprimanded? That's what I don't get.
oh they must of like put it in the bottom of their bag or something because i had a water that wasnt even opened and they tossed it! but yeah i know they complain about it but dont do anything about it...when they had the chance, they could of kicked them out!

The ACE kids are not allowed to go to the block party and they were not allowed to stay at All-Star this year. They also had to have a parent in EVERY room.
That is so smart. When we went to Las Vegas we were told that minors cannot be in a room with other minors and someone 18 had to be in each room. I can't imagine why this isn't the rule at Disney. It just got out of hand this year and maybe I just saw more of it this year. Unfortunately our kids went to the block party but team moms and a few parents went but we saw a lot of drunken behavior and a kid getting really sick in the bushes. Next year no block party for my cp.

The block party really isn't great. They eliminated the DJ/Dance party (good job) so it's held in a park with 2 rides that the kids care about which translates to kids being bored, and we all know what that leads to. My daughter went to the block party her first year at Worlds when she was at GA Heat and I was the chaperon and even then I witnessed many drunk kids and that year they still had the DJ/dance and lets just say the mixture of grown and younger kids makes for a pretty disgusting site. Kids who think they are missing out by not going to the block party, really are not. That is unless drunken dirty dancing and just bad behavior is your thing.

Sunday night myself and 2 other parents went with cp and her roommates (all 18 or over )to Magic Kingdom-extra magic hours till 2 a.m. Have done this every year. Plenty to do, they get to hang out together, have fun, not trouble!
