Plus (for other programs) $300-400 uniform, plus (not specified) practice wear. Which, fine, it's expensive - I just want to know what that $300 registration fee is for. (Your program specifies what it is for, which is what I'm looking for)
You're very right. Most of them don't. I'd be intersted to see what's included in other program's registration fees.

Our coaching fees are $150 a month.
Tuition is $250 upfront.
Uniform is $250
Practice apparel is about $150
Competition gifts are maybe $100
End of the year banquet is $10
Competition fees are maybe 5 fees of $75

You get one free tumbling class as part of your fee. And discounts on other classes, privates, etc.

Then you have the cost of travelling, the makeup, the shoes..

I don't have the packet with me, but for my new gym it's $3,050 for the whole year (gym fees, unis, practice, comp fees) But not counting shoes, travel, ect.

We pay $195 for tuition which includes extra tumbling during the week (unlimited) and then people have the option of adding in their comp fees and paying an extra $70 May-October. I pay the two lump fees of $240. Then we have choreography ($250), Sunshine fees ($125), Uniform & Warmup ($500), and practice clothes ($250, paid at tryouts). Around March we get a "year end" bill which has the over/under on our comps fees...I usually end up paying $125.
This year we have a sponsor for all of the "extras" I just pay the tuition.

Let's see...tuition is $90 a month for youth, junior, senior, $60 a month for tiny. If you have two or more kids, you get $30 off the tuition, so my daughter is $90, my son is $30.
Uniform is $250
comp fees are $125 for August, Sept, Oct, Nov
Shoes $75
Makeup $25
Bow $20
Choreo $50
Music $50

I think that's it.

Oh, and that includes one tumbling class per week. Additional classes are $10 each, privates are $30 for a 1/2 hour.

Ours is going to be ~$900 for the season, broken up into a few random payments. But this includes:
uniform
rent (we don't have our own facility, so we rent space/mats)
makeup
bows
choreography
music
clothing (2 tshirts, shorts, bra for uniform)
insurance
association membership
local competition fees
tumbling practice
skills clinic

Any travel is extra. We as coaches also don't take a salary. I work full time and the spend 14 hours-ish a week coaching plus admin/choreo, all that other extra good stuff coaches have to do. Man...when I think about it, I must really love these kids to do it all for free!

We do things a bit different, plus we're a UK squad.
  • Training is £40 ($65) a month for 4 hours a week.
  • Optional 1 hour tumble £10 ($16)
  • Competition fees for the year £150 ($240)
  • Uniform £100 ($160)
  • Bow £5 ($8)
  • Shoes are the parents responsibility to get.
  • Choreo and music are free this year and then £15 ($24) next
  • Practice clothes £25 ($40)
Cheer is not set up the same way in the UK as it is in the USA, I wish I could charge more but our parents struggle to pay this and the coaches only get minimum wage (better than none which is what we used to get).

For Rays, the $290 is all inclusive except for what you wear, hotel and travel. In January it reduces down to $130 a month through April.

I pay $95 a month for my CP's tuition. This includes 2.5 hours of practice May-July and 4 hours of practice per week August-March. Open gym/tumbling is $10.

I totaled what I spent last year including choreo, music, uni's, comp fees, etc. and I spent roughly $3400 not including travel for our 4 out of state competitions we attended.

We pay $150 a month for level 1 and 2- that includes all comp fees and 2 two hour practices a week (tumbling is done during that time)
For level 3 it's $170 a month which includes the comp fees and 2 three hour practices a week (tumbling done during that time)
It may be slightly more for level 4 and 5 but I can't remember and my laptop is not being friendly right now.

Tiny Exhibition: $30
Tiny Competition: $60
Mini: $70
Yth-Sr 1-2: $80
Yth-Sr 3,4,5: $88
This includes 2 practices a week (except for Tiny Ex) and unlimited tumbling classes which are offered 4 days a week.

Any travel is extra. We as coaches also don't take a salary. I work full time and the spend 14 hours-ish a week coaching plus admin/choreo, all that other extra good stuff coaches have to do. Man...when I think about it, I must really love these kids to do it all for free!

I do the exact same thing! It's exhausting sometimes!

Means that the cost for my program is:
One-off Payment (includes comp entry for entire year, choreography, music, coaching/tuition, gym hire) - $250
Uniform Payment (full uni, shoes, makeup, bow, team jacket) - $305 for girls and $215 for boys (cheaper uniform, no bow and makeup obviously)

And that's IT for the entire year.
I'm yet to find anywhere that charges anything even close to that cheap. Can someone beat me? Haha.
