not to be rude...but that was someone else...:) I haven’t chimed in on this....yet;).....but my first thought is get an arena big enough that the consumer doesn’t have to make tough choices....everyone can see everything..:)
I think the Orlando Magic play about 20 minutes away from the WWS. I know some basketball still goes on there during this time but from what I have heard it would be a better venue capable of handling this event.

Well if they are true to their mission statement to "grow the sport" they certainly will not do it by leaving people outside locked doors or making them choose between divisions to watch. I am curious to know just how much USASF pays to use the venue. I wouldnt be surprised at all if they actually are making money with the built in TV rights and bodies brought to Disney and that is the sticking point of moving.

They wouldn't be the first sport to make you choose which division/game/event you will watch. Basketball has tournaments where you have to choose which game you will watch and I believe gynmastics has multiple events go on at one time. You will never be able to make everyone happy so they have to stop trying to do that. Making sure the Milkhouse isn't over capacity and people are safe if there is a fire or need to evacuate is more important then getting to see all the large coed and large senior teams compete.

What if the popular divisions competed in the Milkhouse but then on a staggered schedule competed in the stadium setup for "Fan Favorite"? That way either place you get a ticket you get to see the team live, and there is a sense of competition to it and not just a "showcase".

I havent kept up with the fiasco at Worlds but this sounds really screwed up! No solution, just glad my Cheerleader is out of that stage in cheer life.

Spectators still won't leave the Milkhouse because of the enviroment itself wouldn't be the same. Then you have the divisions who complain because they aren't considered a "popular division".
They won't be competing at the stadium because the Braves own that and they won't be allowed on the field. That is why the awards were so small at the stadium, they were only given so much space and none was on the actual field.

I stand by making the schedule:

Large Senior/Large Coed
IO6/IOC6
Small Senior/Small Coed
IO5/IOC5
Medium Senior/Medium Coed

they can have a drawing as to which gets the Jostens and which is given the Milkhouse. Having the International divisions between the senior divisions will help break up the crowd a bit and having the divisions split at the same time will break it up even more.

I actually did enjoy watching the livestream between Milk and Jostens saturday evening and just hang out with people. But there wasn't any top teams competing right at that time. I think some people would be ok watching the livestream for prelims or maybe the international divisions, but those are not the popular divisions so those are not an issue... And I think people are more ok with watching a livestream if they don't HAVE to. I did not enjoy watching large senior on the jumbo tron. As people mentioned before me it's really far away and the livestream at the jumob tron didn't even work all the way through the large senior division, so people crowded around all the small tv's they could find.

Additional venue will not decrease the size of the crowd for the more popular divisions. They need to lower the amount of bids given. This will decrease the amount of spectators. Also they should have people walking around the venue making sure rows upon rows of seats are not being saved. I understand 1 or 2 seats maybe the people got up to use the rest room of went for food but people were saving rows of seats is just unreal. If you eliminate half the unpaid bids that would decrease the crowds. All the teams that get eliminated on Friday and their families then became spectators. Worlds should be for the Best of the Best, so they should make it harder to get there. The problem is its all about $$$$

The only people saying that the number of teams competing should be reduced are teams that KNOW theyll still get to compete (like WC, for example)
Worlds wouldnt be worlds without the little guy.

Sure it would. Prelims just wouldn't be as long. Would the Olympics still be the Olympics if Italy wasn't competing in gymnastics? Yup.

#thatawkardmoment when his athlete doesn't even cheer at World Cup anymore.

He actually often has valid points to contribute as he has been around for years!

You however, are probably one of those that would eliminated if we re-elited the world championship. Am I right?

worlds was still worlds when it was just a few teams. I watched from home for the first time in a few years this year. The same teams that I took bathroom breaks on in previous years, I took the same breaks this year. Yes, the little guy should have as much chance as the next guy, but the only thing many of them are adding is revenue. There are so many teams that go for the experience, and have no chance of moving on past the first day. They want the experience, and that's great. The problem is, we don't currently have a venue that can provide the experience is a safe way for everyone.

You just do not see those teams because they are not televised with the Olympics unless you are up in at 3 in the morning watching some weird cable station. So which "country" are you going to say can not come to the Olympics. As I remember from the numerous threads on this subject before Acedad said they give out less at larges than did a few years ago per full paid bid - the argument is old. They just have more spectators whether or not they are a blood relative to someone performing or not. In fact when we were "enjoyning" our time in the baseball stands watching the feed from the Josten center for an hour the officials made the comment to my husband who complained about the feed not being of the Milkhouse.

The venue is too small period, not becuase of the at larges (by the way my daughter's team had a full paid) but because the sport has grown as a spectator sport.

The EPs are simply not going to tolerate any limiting of the number of bids because that is a significant marketing tool for them to attract gyms to their events. We've already established that the USASF and the EPs (at least the varsity brands) are in cahoots with each other - if you can even distinguish between the two at all.

I like the schedule idea of top divisions going on at the same time...better yet maybe they can additionally have a live feed in each venue they can show between teams so no one will miss a performance...it will also keep people running back and forth to see a certain team perform.
