Though I don't know if Northeast Tropics is still going. They still have the website up, but their facebook page is pretty much nonexistent and the site isn't updated often. Probably a 'no' after this year!

Oh, you're right! I forgot about Northeast Tropics. And yes, I suppose I should clarify; I cheer for the Enfield (now Windsor) gym.

A few years ago.. there were 3 gyms on the same exact street. Two directly across the street and one in the next building over. Now one remains.

Except one originally began there, got bought out, another gym moved locations to there & this season another opened up! They all have the same amount of athletes though.. (except for the new one)

Worth noting:

Texas has had 9 different programs win cheer globes at Worlds. (6 of whom have won 2 or more.)

Texas - 54 globes

North Carolina - 17
Kentucky - 17

They must bleed cheer in Texas! Wow!

There is also Victory Cheer Company, Rockstar Athletics, California Surf, and Apex All Stars, just to add a few more Southern California gyms.

Rockstar and Victory are out of an hours distance of the main influx of gyms though. I love me some Victory!

Yeah, at one of the PCM locations is on the same street as another gym. Thankfully at other ends and the road is about 3 miles long!

I live in Jacksonville, Fl and the programs that come to mind by me are Premier Athletics, First Class Athletics, Infinity Allstars, Zone Allstars and River City Allstars. Daytona is only an hour from here so you could cheer at Daytona gyms if you wanted.

I'm in Columbus, OH and I know of at least 15 gyms in our county and there is less than a 30 minute drive between any of them. And I'm sure there are a few new or small gyms that I don't know about. And if I go an hour or so out that list gets much bigger. There is a lot of talent in our little city, it's just spread out.

There are 2 allstar programs within 15-25 minutes of my home.... Vipers and Eastern Elite... The next closest to my home is Twisters which is about 45-50 minutes from where I live...

There are a bunch, that is for sure. Every year, several more pop up. It is amazing to me that the market can support that many gyms. Many of them seem to be well-run and have been around for a LONG time.

That being said, there have been dozens that have gone out of business also. This would be a tough market for someone new - particularly at L5.

Our gym, Achievers Gymcats, is going on it's 13th season but we've only had a couple of L5 teams in the past.. most of the time the athletes that have L5 skills leave and go to CA or SOT. And all of our coaches, cheerleaders and parents continue to support them!!

If i added in Kentucky, i could probably get one or two more small gyms... and there are 3 small gyms around knoxville that i couldn't find any adress so i would say they're probably 30 minutes- an hour away!

In Nevada most of them are in Las Vegas and within an hour would be:

The first 2 are the only gyms with level 5 teams in Nevada.
