I started in gymnastics and then I started on a mini team and I moved up to where I am now.(level 3)
I want to know your story!

Well, I begged my mom to put me in gymnastics, and instead she decided to put me in just a tumbling class. When I got bored with working on the same stuff every single class, she put me on a rec cheer team. Eventually I got bored with that too, so she put me in all star and I've loved it ever since. :3

i have always been overweight, and i just wanted to make a change, and start a sport so i could get in shape. my friend was a cheer dancer, and i tought it was super cool, so i started to google cheer dancing. somehow i found a video of an allstar team (can't remember the name) and while watching the video i started to think that this is what i want to do. so i googled cheerelading, asked my mum if i could start and went to the first practice. i was super nervous, and i tought i would never make friends. well i did, and now i love my team and cheerleading more than anything in my life.

When I moved from Hawaii to Florida, my mom would bring my sister and I to my cousins practices to get us out of the house while she unpacked and I used to always get up and tried to learn the cheers so one day my mom asked me if I wanted to go join and bam, 13 years later going into my senior year i'm still a cheerleader and hopefully making a career out of it! :)

I did gymnastics classes at a small, local gymnastics place where all of my friends went (in what, 2nd grade?) My mom noticed that I just wasn't good at it. I was falling behind all of my friends on the bars and beam but I was pretty good on the floor. I asked her if I could be on the real gymnastics team and go to competitions, so she said "How about you try cheerleading, honey?" I wasn't sure about it until she showed me one of those American Cheer Power competitions that always used to be on TV, and I was like WOOOOOOAH. My gymnastics gym had a small j2 team that I joined. I ended up moving to a real allstar gym the next year and fell in love! Now I'm on a level 5 team as a junior in high school and cheerleading is my entire life!

I was that little girl who sat in front of the cheerleaders the entire football game, and did not look up to the actual game the whole time. I was determined to be a cheerleader.. Even though I walked like a duck and regularly fell over for no apparent reason.. I tumbled forever but dance was my #1 priority, then cheered on my middle school team, then did high school and allstars both. :) And, no, I don't walk like a duck anymore. And I can typically maintain my balance.

That was me! I fell in love with cheerleading through football:)

I use to watch cheer competitions on espn when I was younger and then one day I told my mom that I wanted to learn how to flip so after her watching me fall on my face trying to throw round off handspring tucks on the grass for 2 weeks she put me in gymnastics classes lol. The gym also had a cheer team and they asked me to cheer but never did. Tried high school cheer my senior year, hated it and quit to do all stars. I started at a level 3 team. The following year I did level 4 and then graduated. Then joined an international level 5 team the next year which I have cheered on for the past two years now.

Transferred to a small private school in 6th grade and my best friend had already been enrolled there a couple years. She was a cheerleader and used to teach me cheers in the backyard. So when I enrolled in the school I decided to join her and try out since she was like the only person I knew there. It was more of a "everyone makes it" kind of deal but we still went to camp and what not. I ended up going back to public school after a couple weeks for personal reasons and decided to try out there the following spring. I wanted something to bide my time in between when I changed schools and when I could begin cheering again so I opened the phone book and looked up cheerleading. Landed on ACX and dialed but hung up when someone answered because I was so nervous. I wouldn't leave my mom alone until she called them back and let me try out!

My Mom was forever signing me up for all different activities and sports throughout my childhood because she wanted me to find something that I really loved and enjoyed doing. When I was eight, she registered me for Pop Warner... and that was pretty much the spark that started the fire.

My dad used to work at a local college's assembly center. One day, he took me to work, and fortunately it was UCA cheer camp week. I was really little, and I asked for a trophy from the director! Haha but she actually ordered me one bc she informed me that all the trophies would be given to the teams. Just watching it, fell in love with it. I originally wanted to do school cheer, which i did in middle school, but found my place in allstar last year, and wouldn't trade it for the world.

I was in 4th grade when I started. That summer I was supposed to go to a church camp session at a place called Camp Howard (those in Oregon would probably have heard of it) but they were offering a cheer camp at the same time. My babysitter had done it and I wanted to be just like "big Lauren." I was a flyer since I've always been on the small side and I fell in love with it. I started doing CYO for my school and other schools near (it was based on where the school was located and since there were many schools in the Beaverton area they all formed one team). I moved to Florida summer of 5th grade and did Pop Warner. The rest is history.
