Oh and our bows were ugly and made by a mom in the gym. They kept falling apart. I'm all for supporting the parents but quality please!

Lol this made me laugh. We had a parent made bow her first season.
It was $20. It was ... Umm non matching and idk how to make bows but I believe I could of made a better bow myself. Its super stiff and the center protrudes out so it doesn't sit in a high ponytail well. It would sit better if worn to the back.. Ehh

The second season we had a varsity bow. It's very pretty and made perfect as far as looks go. It's also hard as a rock and would just crush my daughters poof. It also doesn't sit right because it's so hard an stiff. Maybe im just use to yellaribbon bows! We were suppose to wear a high pony but if you did since it wouldn't bend and you didn't want it poking into your head it would just have to lay flat back and it would look like a plate on top of your head or you move your pony back and the tails hang down behind your head. Haha the problem is so hard to describe. I'm finally happy about the bows this season. They are plain white but although this last one was super pretty it just didn't work well for its intended purpose!

I think a second mortgage my be needed for our new uni this year.

Skirt/Top/Spankies $400
Warmup Jacket $160
Shoes $85
Bow $30
Makeup $35

Not to mention the $150 for practice clothes. I just thank goodness I only have one child cheering as I know many that have 2+.
wait hold the phone.. 30 dollars for a BOW?!#@$

i have never ever EVER payed more then 15 and a warm up jacket at 160, it sure as heck better be a lululemon bedazzled jacket with my name embroidered on it

$300 includes shoes and full custom uniform from Dreamlight... TONS of stones and some very intricate mesh, we get our sample any day now :)
SOOO glad to see someone else getting Dreamlight. I loved working with this company and the final product has been fantastic!

OK. I'm visiting. :cheering: For like 15 minutes while I wait for the dryer to finish.

Our uniforms (which I still can not part with :( , even though I could recoup some money if I would sell them) were:

Top: 220
Shorts: 130-ish (I know the total was around $350 for both)
Bow: 30 (worth about 10, made by a mom)
Shoes: 75
Make-up: 20 (glitter, glue, eyeliner, lipstick)

So a total of just under $500. We had no required warm-ups, practice wear, etc. but TONS that are available for gazillions of dollars. Our gym uses uniforms for 3 seasons before changing.

They were GK and very well made. Ours have been through he!! and back, including the washer and dryer many times and still look brand new. It seemed like a ton of money when I first bought them, especially since I needed 2, but with some of the new activities my little princess has decided to try this year I have to say I'd go back to a $350 GK uniform that lasts 2-3 seasons in a HEARTBEAT.

I would love to see a picture-our gym last year used Dreamlight and LOVED them!

Can I just say I hate team makeup? Like I don't need to buy that $20 blush or specific $20 eye color kit when I have some myself that's almost the exact same.
We hate makeup kits too! When we started Platinum the head coaches decided to go to Walgreens and pick out 2 eye shadows, 1 eye liner, and lipstick that we all would buy. We got to use our own products for the rest. It was under $15 probably and lasted me the 2 seasons until I aged out and I still have some left.

Our open team used to make all of our bows for the teams but we stopped because of the amount of work and the ones we purchased were 100x better.

Haha. Its like she just quit when she got to the right side and said eh good enough!

My CP's uniform cost right at $300 and then the practice wear including the sneakers, 3 pair of shorts, 3 blinged t-shirts and makeup was $220.

I thought it was reasonable since when she did rec comp (last year she did both AllStars and rec comp) the uniform there was $245, sneakers were $60, warm-up gear (jacket, pants, t-shirt & shorts) were $165.
