What kind of scissors are you guys using to cut the fabric? Everyone has such a clean cut and everytime I do mine it looks like a 2 year old did it.
And I know I've asked this before, but just to clarify, to make numbers, letters, flags, etc on the bow, are you using a silhouette or a cricut?

I use sewing scissors since my mom is seamstress I get to use all her stuff (her scissors, fray check, cutting mat, fabric, etc) I think you can buy them at like joanns we have like an all silver colored one that is the best.

my mom uses these scissors. We have several pairs of them and they're great.
we also have a silhouette. The cricut is ridiculous. You have to buy all these cartridges for different designs, whereas the silhouette you can use designs you have on your computer, so basically anything you can find online.

Are these available in stores or just online?

Do you normally get the scissors from Michaels or Joannes? Sorry for all the questions
It really doesn't matter where you get your scissors, it does matter how sharp they are. I have fabric only scissors and paper scissors. Also, cutting sequined fabric or ribbon will dull your scissors quickly. I use the cheaper plastic handled scissors for sequined/glitter fabric and my nicer dressmaker ones for plain fabric. I get my nicer scissors sharpened by a guy who has a business in my town. I use an at-home sharpener I bought at Joann's for the plastic handled ones and just buy new ones when needed.

Singer ones are great too if you can find them...
yeah, they're good. But only for a little while. They get very dull very quickly. My mom prefers fiskars over anything, because she doesn't just make bows--she makes custom window treatments for companies like ethan allen and can't have dull scissors. they're good I guess if you are gonna do it for a hobby and not sell them, but they're also around the same price.

Posting for a friend who doesn't have a fierce board account,
if you're interested in any of the bows you can email Kaely at [email protected]!
