Because I don't like to deal with the teal army ;)

Honestly, I haven't been following this thread super closely and didn't see that one. You're right. No bra suitable for that. Maybe that's their "black tie" democratic convention uni???

Down kids, I'm just kidding.

Bwaaaaaaaahahahaaa black tie DC uni!!!:p

Sorry - I didn't mean you specifically should have said something. I only quoted you because you made me think of it. When that uni was first posted I looked for bra brigade and saw none, and then I forgot about it. I just was surprised (not surprised) that no one said anything about how impractical it is. Beautiful, but impractical. I'm curious to see it on a person, rather than a drawing. Then we can bra brigade it up!!!

My daughter cheers at Step One, its her first year there.

We weren't supposed to post pics, so I'm not sure who posted it.

The kids and parents love the uniforms. They look gorgeous on. I'm not dignifying the mean remarks with a reply.

I know this is a uniform thread so I'll briefly state this. Step One is an amazing place. The feelings of love, belonging, and acceptance all athletes feel there are amazing. The kid inside the uniform is what matters most.
I think they are gorgeous and will look great on the floor, I feel like some people might just be put off by all the colors. I for one love it!

Looking at the Step One picture again I don't hate it, I just think I need to see it on to actually like it. Step One's colours are not my favourite, but they've always been able to create a uniform that I love regardless and combined the colours perfectly, that picture just doesn't do that for me, but uniforms always look different on, so who knows.

Found these on tumblr! Step 1 Allstars:

Beautiful but Step One's old uniforms will forever be my favorite uniform ever :(

its not that its harder to cheer in a full top....its Hotter!!!!...i already feel sufficated in my crop top ...i couldnt imagine having to do it in a full top

I wish I could find the thread. When the rule first came out we had about 75 pages of people saying they couldn't catch flyers in full tops and that the full tops were harder to tumble in because they were too "restrictive to move in". I'm sure they are hot, but I just don't think it's going to be that big of a difference. Like coachlex1019 said, many people have cheered and tumbled in MUCH hotter things. I just do not like the mesh as a way around the rule. It looks weird and I'm not a fan. I am rapidly becoming a sublimated fan - they look so comfy and athletic!

I've come to the conclusion I just don't care anymore about the whole "what kind of a bra can they wear with that one" unless it's my cp's uniform I'm looking at. If programs want to have their cheerleaders' girls bouncing all around for the sake of cut out shoulders and backs, be my guest. I've never understood why GK or Varsity haven't figured out yet how to make a uni top with a built in sports bra. Problem solved. Bra brigade onto next burning issue.

Agreed. (Don't know how many Irish Dance dresses you've seen, but my cp will have nooooooooooo bra issues in life. For sure.)

But our GK uniforms came with matching sports bras - built in would have been even better, but these were awesome. They had the same cut outs as the back of the uniform, so it didn't show. I thought they all came with them, but I guess not.

I have actually heard of a uniform where a sports bra was part of the top. It was an open back and the sports bra was made of the same material as the uniform. I had no idea until one of the girls told me.

I love Step 1 and their uniforms! I remember going to Step 1 when we went to COA Columbus a few years ago and all the teams were practicing and on their break they all came over to watch our teams perform and if they were just sanding there they would clap for us if we were dancing and yell nice things to us as we were running threw the routines. Awesome sportsmanship and I praise their coaches for running such a high class place. I will ALYWAS respect that gym. Can't wait to see them and their uniforms!
