Man up about what you did get on camera and own up to it IF you did it.. don't hide from it now deal with your ish! Like an adult.

If you didn't do no wrong speak up about it put something out defending your self!

If you're going to do illegal things in our "our" sport DON'T EFFIN COACH PERIOD I've grown to HATE people like this in our industry it bugs me so much.. okay rant over

I don't know a thing about this situation.

However it made me think that Trinity's practices are either going to revolutionize Allstar cheer or someone's going to end up in jail and they'll close in a year. Standing by...

Curious as to what practices we're talking about? Giving scholarships? Everyone does it to one extent or the other. As for buying houses and paying large sums of money, show me the proof. If this was a legal case you are innocent until proven guilty but here it just needs to be tossed out there to become fact.

A few people in here seem to know or think they now more the they're letting on. Just because someone else says it's happend doesn't mean it did.

As for why GA always come up when Trinity comes up - well would any of us know who Trinity is if Jamie hadn't made a big deal about them in February or during tryouts?

Well, yes. They promoted themselves on here with pictures of their new facility, and put out videos with all their "cheerlebritys" that are well known. I don't follow Jamie on FB or twitter, and I have heard plenty about them.

I've thought about this more and more and here is the thing-whether you like Jamie or not, this is his job. This is what pays the bills for him, and something that he has dedicated his life to. To have someone come in and take that simply because they have tons and tons of money would leave me a little salty too...
Recruiting happens in every sport, but since we are not a sport, it's a big free for all. If this is how it's going to be and this is the new standard, where is it going to stop? Your dreams of being a gym owner will not be possible if someone else can come in and offer free houses, cars, tuition, scholarships, etc and take everything from you (unless of course you are also in the position to offer these things to them too-obviously, I'm not :()
I hate to say this but cheerleading is a business and businesses close everyday because their competitor had more capital to invest. :( The problem is still whether rules were broken. Was this all to stack Johns Creek? Probably not. It was for Trinity most likely and if that is true, what are the rules for this in all star cheerleading? Should their be rules against this in all star? It just feels wrong but sadly that does not make it wrong.

Why does everytime trinity come up everyone wants to turn the blind eye and talk about how bad Jamie Parrish is instead? Is it possible that trinity is doing shady business? Yes. can we do anything about it? No. Can we do anything about the high school? Yes. Don't get mad because you did shady business and got called out for it. That's all I'm saying.

I just feel as though two young girls, who are tremendous athletes, are being taken through the mud in this process and no matter what the outcome, they and the school district will pay the price.

One of the girls mother, coaches at Trinity, and is a very good coach in her own right and trained her daughter. Would that not make her a desirable coach to have at your program? It said that CBD purchased the home, it does not state they gave this home to their family. Bridge loans are hard to come by these days, could it be as simple as they are providing this home until a lease is out, or a previous home sells? I have no idea! But, what I'm reading and hearing IS feeling a little like Revenge.....

Those parents may have children attending schools competing against Johns Creek. Its not fair for those schools who play by the rules.

Or maybe, just maybe, the mothers like to defend the rules even when their child isn't involved.. Just my opinion. Blast me out all you want but I know one of those mothers personally and she is one of the best people I know. Her daughter is NOT on Georgia's senior 5 team so she was not directly affected by this. But maybe her mom just wanted some justice here.

But I don't think the recruiting was done by John's Creek. Love Angel (don't know Shayla but I'm sure she's awesome as well), and it's just unfortunate their names and pictures were made public. Especially when the article even states that there was "no evidence of wrongdoing on the students' part. It's also unfortunate that they "called out" the high school, when it's probably the gym that did the recruiting.

This is just a sticky situation, honestly.

I wasn't trying to imply anything negative at all and know absolutely nothing first hand as I said in my first sentence. It appears they have used creative ways to attract athletes and it very well may pay off OR go down in flames. I hope it pays off as that would be the best scenario for the Allstar world as well. These type scandals are bad for everyone in cheer.

Which thread was theirs because I was just looking and all I found was where Jamie had posted on FB and then someone brought it on here. As for the videos of the two "cheerlebrities," most of the judges for that competition have videos so.....

I'm not saying they haven't promted themselves but other then some parents I can't remember the gym itself coming on here. FB and Twitter, yes all the time but you have to like and follow them to get it.

If these allegations of buying houses, scholarshipping, etc are true what does it mean? Can you make a profit for your business that way? Do you expect to become instant champions? Can you buy loyalty? Not that it is the case (as I clearly don't know) but what do you get in the end? They have some great individual talent in athletes and coaches. It will be interesting to see how it all pans out in the end. There are lots of choices in that area Trinity, GA, and JC Rays. I guess we'll see what it takes to succeed. Good luck to all.

Am I also the only one that noticed GA Coed 5's dance is a not so subtle jab to the people who left?
And a not so subtle use of the song like 2 or 3 times in the mix.
I know Jamie coaches a lot of high school teams or they use the ga faculity so I can see why he could be upset about that too.
If I were him and didnt want to look like I was going for a little revenge, I wouldn't have gone on tv, requested a revenge type of mix, and move on because one athlete doesn't win you worlds(not to mention I havnt really noticed or cared much for said athlete since she was on Youth Rays Teal).
But I do get Jamie doesn't care what people think of him so as long as he doesnt feel like this will hurt his gyms reputation even more then he must know what hes doing.

At my high school, incoming freshmen go to the same tryout in April or May or around that time. I would assume the same goes for any other high school.

Yeah when I was in high school, the 8th graders would actually be practicing with us in April/May after tryouts even though they weren't in high school yet.

I'm not defending these practices, but offering someone relocation assistance or housing isn't that unheard of in the business world. Offering her a place to live to get her to relocate seems sketchy, but it's not that absurd outside of the cheer world - especially if this is her full time job. If joining a high school team after tryouts isn't allowed in Georgia then I think that's really the only blanket rule they broke in all of this.

You could very easily explain the house away as recruiting for Trinity - which isn't illegal in all-star. It just happens that Trinity, and consequently the house, is in the same school district. Why wouldn't the girls cheer for their new high school, especially if they're as good as this one is?

(not saying I agree it's that innocent, but it's easy enough to spin that way)

So what if Jaime's name was never mentioned? Does it make it less wrong? Trinity's name was brought up in the article. I have seen similar instances regarding high school football recently locally (cost the team a state title). Regardless of "who" is involved, the fact is rules were broken. Love or hate the person that brought it to light. If you cheat, regardless of how you get caught, I'm glad you got caught.
