Confession: I think there should be a filter for 2+ year posters to write in this thread.. You don't even know what a being a fierce boarder is until you've experienced worlds, NCA, etc. a couple times around.
This.

One of the 4578410 I bite my tongue on fierceboard...ugh.

Here's a real confession, and I was here the day this board started.

I cringe a little bit when people ask a question and people say use the search bar in a rude way. It doesn't bother me if it's said in a helpful manner, but when it's meant to be rude it makes me cringe. Everyone doesn't "live" here and some people are new, and I'm afraid they get scared off when people are rude to them. Usually the thread turns into an OMG Becky, I can't believe how she didn't even try the search bar for 2 pages. It makes us look mean and rude and unhelpful and perpetuates the misconception that cheerleaders are snotty brats.

This website is overwhelming, there are a lot of sections, forums, and pictures, I sometimes have a hard time navigating and I've been here since day one.

1. signed to find out what time the Bears played today but got side tracked here
2. This is my first real consistent posting experience besides facebook
3. I am really learning a lot about this sport that my CP is now in love with

4. final confession...while I am loving cheer - I do miss my older daughter playing volleyball.

It bugs me when people have their full name as their username. Sorry if that's you. Idk, I just bugs me.
Mine is.... I don't even know how it happened (i think i connected to facebook when I signed up? i have no clue, I don't even remember making my username!) and I want to change it but I can't think of anything clever.... so for now I'm just leaving it... I think Kingston mentioned he was working on making it so we can change our own usernames, and if that ever happens I'll change it. I actually hate it and it kind of freaks me out that it's my name. Butttttt I have nothing to change it to....

I learned that if you just click on "whats new" every time you log on, it works best. Just make sure to use "mark forum read" before you leave and you will always be up to date.

-Sometimes I wish I would have made my fierce board account as an anonymous one.
-When girls on my HS team are discussing all-star things, gyms, or teams, sometimes I can't help but say "Well i know a girl who cheers there and.." and when they ask me where I know them from, I'm a little embarrassed to say "fierceboard" since I've never met any of you in person. Hopefully I will at cheer sport though!!
-Some of my cheer friends think it's amazing that cheer updates follows me on twitter and that we message about ideas and things. When i try to explain we were friends before cheer updates was what it was, they just get really confused...
-A cheerleader that I know texted me the other day fangirling (literally- fangirling) because a huge "cheerlebrity" (i hate that word, but it was funny) follows me on twitter and wanted to know how I convinced her to do it and how i got her to retweet me and how i know her... etc. I wasn't sure who she was talking about until she screenshotted a picture of one of my tweets that krystynakrez retweeted. (It also got 80 something retweets and i got like 20 new followers..) I just thought I would share that because I didn't want to tweet it because the girl follows both of us. lol not really a confession..
-I find myself wanting to be able to use this when i'm texting people almost all the time. :cow:

I hate poofs, but only because my hair doesn't do them, and whenever it finally does I'm upper pissed y'all's are better than mine and take it down.

I base my tv viewing habits on what people are talking about on here half the time.

I get what you're saying, but even if you don't live here, most websites and all message boards have search bars. You don't have to know Fierceboard all that well to know its good etiquette to do a search before you make a new thread.

Though I do agree that people tend to get unnecessarily catty. Someone already told them to use the search bar, there's no need for 4 more people to do the same. That goes for a lot of times where someone will get "called out" so to speak.

I've only experienceed one Worlds (2012) as a lurker. I couldn't even get the site to load on Sunday of Worlds, it was so slow because everyone and their brother was on....

Woohoo a Bears fan! :)

I agree! Like I think someone should tell them, but it doesn't need to be repeated a million times. And you can tell them nicely. Although sometimes you tell them nicely and they're rude back to you...

Confession, I miss the boards circa like 2009/2010. =(

I agree with you (even though those were the days when i strictly read the boards without an account:oops: ) but there was a whole different crew of characters posting then. While i enjoy reading what a lot of the new people have to say, the boards seemed like a much more, close-knit group back then. and i miss reading the opinions of some of the real "veteran" posters who have disappeared a bit.

Some more confesssions...

- I'm still a huge newbie, and i have no idea why i have 479 shimmies... I'm not funny nor do i post intelligent posts....

- Before i stumbled across Fierceboard, i knew nothing about AS cheer. I didn't know what Worlds was, I didn't know what Level 5 even meant! Now I feel like i know too much (for where i live, nobody knows about AS cheer... you're cool if you can do a solid RO...) and then nobody knows what i'm talking about...

-When i'm on facebook or texting someone, i want to use fierceboard smilies, like;:oops::rolleyes::banghead:. Those are my favorite, and i wish i could use them other places

-Like others have said, i know people by their avatar. I remember when SmileCat changed her avatar on her birthday (how i remember this, i don't know) and i forgot who she was....
