Thats true, but if people have been to comps around here, they'd see that we have way less gyms around here, Im all for growth, I love it! but the competition has gotten smaller not bigger. We have the same amount of EP's but way less gyms, its almost standard that you have 1,2 or 3 teams in a division which in not good. We need new kids getting into cheer, not less competition

I think part of the problem is not less teams but the fact that some gyms purposely avoid competitions that other gyms go to.

Well I was at Spirit Sports and it was HUGE. 12 teams, 12 different gyms, in the small youth 2 division. 15 or 16 teams in jr 3. Sr 2 small, two divisions. So I am thinking there are still plenty of gyms.

I remember the good ole days when there was more than 2 or 3 teams in each division @ local comps before all these mergers and carefully placed satellite gyms in California, now you only see that at Spirit Sports in Palm Springs. Even American Championships has gotten smaller because most gyms don't take their Worlds teams. This does nothing to grow cheer, same kids get recycled from one gym to another. What happened to being the 1st gym to open in a new area? That's how it all got started and never happens now.

I met some really nice folks from CheerForce at NCA. I had to ask about all the colors in the uni's and they told me about the merger for L5. Being a Midwesterner who watched a lot of Bring it On,.. i too only thought Rancho Cucamonga was not real. But they assured me it's a real place with Real Cheerleaders~ Good Luck to them at Worlds!

We do have so many comps but we have a lot less teams, just as an example I remember when everyone had a large sr all girl, now we have zero. Then everyone had a sm sr now there are 4? I think. Smaller gyms absorbed into big gyms means less teams to compete against

That's what I said in my 1st post. Spirit Sports is the only big comp. and because if the Worlds Bids we get teams frm Az, Nv, so it's huge, it's the biggest one.

Are you talking about CheerForce? The gym with the green uniforms? or Force? Which is the alliance and they're pink and yellow?

Who did they merge with for L5? We are running low in level 5 kids. And yes they are super nice!

I'm wondering if this is why Bucky left. Kind of like Gabie leaving Trinity...
Is there any word on which gym Cali is taking over in AZ? I'm wondering if it's Arizona Heat...the owners sold it to a coach who had been there awhile. I am hoping it is. I definetly DONT see it being DSE, or Power...those owners love their gyms to much to sell out.
Cali is coming to Rancho because Fierce hired Sean Miller. That history is a little long to discuss.

Sean Miller oversees a lot of the teams, aka Bucky's job, so he left because he wasn't being used at his full potential.

ALSO. Rancho Cucamonga is kind of a perfect spot. It's a mile away from fierce, close to Cheerforce and close to PCM Corona (where both international teams practice)

If Cali is trying to pull Inspire off again, Rancho is the perfect spot. A lot of athletes from that area who are on SM teams are aging out next year... Hint hint wink wink

You make me laugh giving Sean so much importance! Sorry I'm sure CA makes business decisions based on whats best for their company (that's why they are so great)and not on old coaches that are irrelevant in the industry now. As for the rest of your post I will say again it sounds like a good business decision. Your word "disgusting" is just you sounding bitter.
