Just be glad you don't go to University in London- my tuition this year was £9,000 (standard UK fees for UK students- I think it's almost double if you're an international student) which is over $13,500.
My accommodation, although it admittedly included breakfast and dinner 5 days a week (which was shocking) has rubbish facilities- we share a "kitchen" between around 15 which has maybe a yard of work-surface area, a microwave and one working hob ring. The toilets are mixed sex and there are 4 cubicles between around 30 of us. My bedroom has my bed (single) and desk, a sink and a tiny wardrobe. I pay £187/week, which works out at £800/month, or $1,215/month.
Which probably explains why I couldn't afford to carry on allstar cheer looking at it written out like that!

Oh I'm about to experience way worse, I went to West Virginia University for the last 4 years and if you didn't know it is one of the poorest states in the US, which made school a lot cheaper. Now I am moving back home and going to George Washington University for grad school in DC where tuition will be over $30,000 a year and rent would be around $2,000, but thankfully I will be living at home.

So we have a competition team this year. We find out who makes that based off how things go this summer. Now is it a good thing that only 3 girls are working on coed stunts. I'm one of them but I'm the only JV girl?

Ouch! I looked at going to school in the states briefly, and they seem to offer lots of support if your parents are not in the highest earning bracket, which seems useful! I'd love to do a term/year in the states, but for some reason with my faculty you can only do European exchanges, or essentially take a year out of your degree to study in America :(
I'm not looking forward to next year- the universities in London only provide halls for first years, so I'll have to rent privately. I'm too scared to properly look into what it will cost to live in the vicinity of my uni!

years ago I planted a little baby peach seed... and today my peach tree has it's first baby peaches. i feel like such a proud mom :D
I understand your excitement! When I was like 10 years old my dad planted a pear tree in our yard and for the first time ever, it has started to grow pears this year! BTW, I am 18 now, so I have been waiting 8 years for this!

Im hoping to study abroad in London in 2014 or 2015. This scares me.

Haha, it won't be so bad! I don't know where you plan on going, but I know that if you study abroad with my uni you pay your home uni for the tuition fees, so that won't change :) And I think they can help with accommodation. Where do you plan on going?
