Well since it's EP's choice, and they chose TGLC, and they gave the bid to Coed Elite, I don't see how it's really BUTBT's choice. Am I making sense? Like I know it's not their choice, but does BUTBT have the power to say "no, you're not who we picked, this bid is for who we picked." I mean they are the ones giving away 25k.

i can somewhat understand as to why they would not give bids to the same program in one comp... but my other bigger question would be, does top gun really need a full paid bid to go to worlds, i mean they are in the same state as worlds. have they ever gone to worlds on a partial bid, etc.

I'm going to say they've always gone on paid, if only because of skill/I can't imagine them ever not scoring high enough for a paid even on a bad day. It's true, I could imagine the Florida teams not 'really' needing a paid, but I'm sure Mickey still finds a way to wrangle out some serious dollars.

Amazing what Top Gun did. I would think it's because they felt Coed Elite deserved it since they won the division. cheerupdates said the bid was originally given to TG because the competition company reserves the right not to give the paid bids to the same program

It was the kids! That's what was cool! Coed was watching their video backstage, and the Jags kids came up and said, very cheerfully; "We don't believe the 2nd place team should get the bid. So,we've decided as a team to give it to you." You could have heard a pin drop! I teared up. Then, they handed Coed their banner! They were hugging...it was incredible! When I left everyone was chanting "Top Gun"! Merry Christmas!
