Would we still hate the back of the Cheer Savannah uniform if the mesh was nude lined?

I would. Although I don't "hate" it. I just think a big pink bow on the butt is tacky. But I also don't like anything - shorts or pants - with words on the butt. It just seems to be one of those uniforms where people either love it or hate it. ;)

Hallelujah thank you! Beautiful, conservative, simple. I mean, your niece would look adorable in a paper sack, but these uniforms are gorgeous. Big upgrade from the full mystic ones I have in my head somewhere (was that them?)

Yes, here's a transformation picture from last year to this year... Glad to have a little creative influence over this years look. ;)

It's a common thing around me. Our middle school requires no underwear lines if girls are wearing yoga pants or leggings and its the same policy at another high school near me. It's so strange to me that, that's not common...

If underwear lines are pressing issues why not ban leggings and yoga pants?

But you know what. I've seen underwear lines on jeans and khakis and skirts. Your principal needs to find new things to concern herself with. People wear underwear. She can deal. What happens if someone leans over and a thong hangs out? Does the world end?

I wish people wouldn't tuck baggy jeans into boots. Someone should put a ban on that.

It would still give the illusion of a backless uniform, lined or not. Therefore, I would not really be a fan either way. The only thing the lining would do, is make undergarments less noticeable (though they would still have to be skin colored so as to not show a shadow through the skin colored lining).

I guess I just don't understand why anyone would want to have a backless uniform in the first place, but maybe that is just me . (I mean come on, you are talking about girls under the age of 18 getting stared at by who in competitions? Coaches, judges, parents, younger cheerleaders & probably creepy old guys. Keeping your athletes clothed sounds like a pretty good idea to me for all the above spectators........)

Well, I'm kind of shocked about that kind of policy. What is the big deal about underwear lines ?

I work in middle school in France. If kids are dressed inappropriately, I tell them. During spring trimester, I sometimes have to tell girls that they're wearing too little clothing for a school day (like dresses barely longer than tshirts or tops too small to actually cover the bra). But I have never even glanced at girls' backsides to check wether or not they had underwear lines.

I don't even understand how underwear lines can be considered inappropriate. If people think they are (which I find weird, but they might have reasons), ban leggings all together, but please, don't suggest wearing thongs to kids...

The new uniforms look very classy. They are sure to stand out this season (especially compared to all the mish mash uniforms I have seen on this thread) & add to making routines look very sharp and clean. Well done!

Furthermore, and this is about to get really real, what about girls on their cycle who aren't ready to "upgrade?"

good question. those girls would be showing their "issue" no matter what kind of undies they had on. tight fitting yoga Capri pant material is not forgiving and will show all of their "protective Flo wear". for lack of a better term. lol.

I guess because when I first started all-star and was directly told what kind of underwear to wear under my uniform, I never thought about it. Yes I do wear the aforementioned underwear, but I also wear nike pros under my uniform. My uniform is in no way "overly revealing," I just don't like underwear lines. Maybe I'm in the minority, but I would never think of any other underwear for competitions.

Well choosing to wear one is one thing... But you could hypothetically wear regular underwear, if you didn't mind the underwear lines. The problem I have is that they don't have an option.... It's thong or nothing.

Considering she just got promoted to superintendent and US News & World Report has us as one of the top ranked public high schools in the state, I think she's concerning herself with the correct things. Thanks though.

Policing children's underwear lines will never, ever be an important issue. Is there is data specifically linking lack of underwear lines to increased classroom performance, not dress code but specifically underwear lines? You're welcome though.
