I don't want to start a new thread for this, but has anyone got any magic fixes for kick full baskets? My flyer can do a nice kick basket and a nice twist basket, but just seems to freeze when she goes up. A couple of times it's been kick half, and she's come down on her front, but mainly it's just a small kick then nothing. We've done drills on the floor and with a frontspot holding the left ankle to death. Any ideas/help/encouragement?!

Have her practice on the trampoline! A lot less height so it's way less scary. Once she learns the technique on there it won't be hard to transfer to the air at all.

Does anyone know if it's common for international 5 teams to take athletes with little, to no, tumbling? I really want to cheer again and I would definitely say I have the skills to base/back level 5 stunts, but the only tumbling I have is a handspring. And if anyone knows of an international team in Michigan that isn't too strict on tumbling I would love to know about it :)

Good ones? Probably not. It'd be easier to find an Open 6 that doesn't require tumbling. That being said, I know nothing about the teams in Michigan, so I could be wrong.

I'm not necessarily looking for a good one, just somewhere to cheer lol. But thanks a lot!! :)

Can anyone tell me what teams have used Macklemore "Can't Hold Us" in their routine this year, it's been bugging me for ages I can't remember which team in particular used it, I think in their basket section... ?

If you're not necessarily looking for something super competitive and time consuming I would look in to seeing if there are any Open 4 teams in the area, I did that a couple years ago and it was awesome to just be back on the mat with whatever skills I was able to throw. They still aren't super popular yet, but it's worth it to check!

That's what I was thinking too! I haven't heard of one anywhere but I think I might do some more research. Thanks :)

Posted this in the random thread but am also posting it here because it's a random cheerleading question and will probably get more views here....
So I have a meeting tomorrow with my coach about media ways to get our program (college team) out to more people and schools. I plan on talking about updating our website since it hasn't been updated since like 2011 (yikes) and making sure there is tryout information and stuff on there, doing more frequent posts on our Facebook page (one of our assistant coaches runs it and right now the only thing that really happens on it is the occasional bulk upload of pictures, more twitter updates and like a legit twitter presence (two of my teammates made the twitter--without knowledge of my coach I believe-- and they haven't posted anything since September). Anyone have any suggestion about media ways our team info out there more to prospective cheerleaders?
