All-Star 2013-2014 New Uniforms

I can't believe I'm about to say this, but here goes. I love it. I am always the first to jump all over @Drkilluzionz for these uniforms, so it's only fair that when i like it that I say that too.

Of course the back is not my favorite, but only because of the bra issue - if it were solid I'd love it. The front? It's perfect. Would it work here in Illinois? Doubtful. But top gun? Oh yes. Yep, I said it. I love it - THIS is creative.

I completely agree, I love this uniform. They're different and creative and I really like that about them. But, I also love OO5's uniform (how they've been wearing it without most of the straps on the front) so maybe I'm just crazy.

@Drkilluzionz - thank you so much for sharing the process with us. I love hearing how a concept and process started. I really like this uniform. It is definitely going to stand out and will look great on stage.

We all have our faults

The FRONT of Lady Jags doesn't bother me so much (minus the collar. Blech), but I just can't get down with the back. It looks like a tragic accident happened and they sewed up her skin with bright pink ribbon. Like she's a cheer doll come back to life to haunt competitions.

Not the girl herself, I'm sure she's lovely. But that's what that uniform makes me think of..

I'm just kinda over people designing uniforms where undergarments seem to be an after thought. like honestly if you can't wear comfortable panties and bras what is the point to it all. lol I honestly just dont know how to say what I want to say, this thread has me speechless lol.

edited to add some extra thoughts:
"you can wear a bra with clear straps!" : sure you can!! if you want to feel like your shoulders are being stabbed for the 8+ hours you're in the venue/competition
"you honestly don't need a bra at all with this uni" : oh right, because we've seen how foolproof going braless in a uniform has been...
"you can just wear a thong with those sheer-legged/all white/vogue-inspired bottoms!" : a thong is fine and dandy until it takes "a wrong turn" and starts to feel like a colonoscopy during a routine.

i'm sorry guys, maybe i've just had too much caffeine this morning.

Strangely enough, I don't think I would mind it as much if they got rid of the collars AND the lipstick. Maybe if the straps on the back were black too.

Lol, why I try and explain I'll never know but for those that care...the coach wanted a hybrid of a crop and full piece that had never been done before. People have done side out, mesh covering mid-section and all combos in between but I've never seen a front crop and back full piece...that was the inspiration behind lady jags. A touch of pink, lips and feminine looking designs have always been their "things" and we tried to make a uni that encompassed all those elements. Once we decided we liked the idea that the front and the back looked like two different cuts of uniforms a skort just complimented the idea. As far as the belt...where do you symmetrically trademark gyms logos and team names? (Chest, arms, back, waist band and legs) We feel that over the next few years Lady Jags will become as formidable a force as large coed is right now and part of that is to market them accordingly. For those asking about bras, GK does sell clear strap bras for those who feel they need them but this is also a fully supported leotard that most did not feel the need to wear a bra with.

I appreciate that you explained the concept behind and inspiration for these uniforms in a non-condescending manner. It was interesting to "hear" the thought process that went into creating them.

i'm saying this about Lady Jags uniforn. atleast they are more covered up than OO5 or PA midnight for that matter.. i do not like it at all. but in my opinion it is better than OO5. and by the way i love top gun open 4s uni-- it is pretty!!

I think all of @Drkilluzionz designs are cool. I just disagree on which I think should be cheer uniforms! Loved coed and open 4; the other two, not so much.

Firstly Im all about pink lipstick. Yes I was hoping it would be something as beautiful as O4 but its not the worst. The front is really pretty and I never like collar uniforms so its done really well. I like the flash of pink in the uni too makes it really girlie and cute

As a lady jag, i can tell you that we all ADORE these uniforms. Cory, our coaches, and GK really outdid themselves. They make us feel like barbies. As on of the more gifted girls on the team, some of us do wear bras. We are all comfortable, covered up, and supported. To me, if every person on my team can feel comfortable and confident in our uniform, it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.

have you ever been to a club in Miami? really though, i do see a little inspiration from that, but these uniforms are much tamer. talk about a cultural experience (and probably the most fun of my life) i will never accept the "it's hotter here" argument, but Miami really does just have it's own culture and uniqueness so i kind of get it. it just doesn't translate to a youth activity well.

while not my fave (and i still hate OO5), can't deny @Drkilluzionz has some serious talent.

For the record...I do like critiques and hearing peoples opinions...but just as I would never say "you must adore my uniform" I also shut down at statements like "that's terrible, it's ugly, it's trashy..." That's not just an opinion it's someone taking their disapproval and turning it into a pretty nasty bold statement. I know we're not for everyone...but that's ok...that's the beauty of this industry in particular...there are gyms like rays, gyms like twisters, gyms like us...all different and doing what they do...something for everyone. But just bc what someone offers is not for you doesn't make it wrong...it's just not for you. Thank you for the compliments and criticisms and for those who asked yes this uniform will be used the rest of the season.

I like pink lip stick but I don't like the shade that's in the Lady Jags uniform picture. A little tooo Barbie pink for me. I liked the color Black Ice Paige had on. Maybe it was the same and the skin/hair color makes it look different? I'm not sure. I just don't think every skin/hair color can pull off the same lipstick shades.
